In a remarkable new cosplay, one dedicated Grand Theft Auto fan has recreated one of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's "The Twins," giving life to the mysterious bikini woman on the title's original promotional cover artwork. Since 2001, Rockstar has used cover models on GTA series box arts and loading screens, utilizing them for marketing purposes and making them a well-known GTA stapleThough some of the models have story importance and can be found in the games, most of them are not included and are mainly designed for promotional intent only, despite Rockstar having written lore about the characters.

Released in 2002, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City takes the series to the tropical location of Vice City, based in Miami, Florida during the 1980s. Although not a massive visual leap from its predecessor, the title introduces many new elements to the series and went on to receive critical acclaim for its music, gameplay, story, and its open-world, which hosted a handful of memorable characters and iconic moments. Despite Vice City being remastered in the newly released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition, players are returning to the classic edition of the game to bring back nostalgic memories of the mid-2000s, and to enjoy the title's original atmosphere and graphics that shaped the series.

Posted on Reddit, cosplayer Daria Gertsen sublimely recreated the popular bikini martini woman from Grand Theft Auto Vice City's promotional artwork. The mysterious woman is known as one of "The Twins." and is believed to accompany one of Vice City's main characters, Ricardo Diaz. While they don't appear in any of the cutscenes, both characters can be found in the game, despite having character models that are not easily recognizable or any mission objectives that connect them to the story. One is a barmaid for the popular Malibu nightclub, while the other is a stripper at the Pole Position. The Twins do not appear in later installments but continue to be referenced.

Grand Theft Auto's comic-book-style artwork has been an integral part of the series, allowing the titles to be easily recognizable for almost two decades. Despite receiving backlash, the newest GTA trilogy remaster aimed to live up to the series' original vision, introducing a more cartoon-styled approach with its graphics reminiscent of the original art style. Rockstar has used the same art design for its Grand Theft Auto video game covers since the release of Grand Theft Auto III and continues to do so with each installment in the series.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City officially turns 20 this year and cosplayers like Daria Gertsen continue to keep the popular sandbox timeless. While the game is considered to have aged poorly, the assortment of its aesthetics and characters offers something for everyone and will continue to do so for years to come.
