Sometimes playing by the book can get a little bit stale, which is where the magic of in-game cheats comes in. There will come a time when you just need that little boost in virtual cash, energy, and skill to keep your character going without bending over backwards playing fair.
Grand Theft Auto V – the multi-million dollar action-adventure game -- is definitely no exception to this, with a long list of console cheats players can use to either spice up their play experience, or to just make it less of a challenge to get through.
From acquiring supernatural abilities to completely changing their state of being, these sneaky codes are sure to make your trip 'round San Andreas a little more exciting, as if that wasn't already possible. Need a few bucks to get by? We've got you covered. Want things as explosive as a Transformers movie? No problem.
Be sure to keep in mind that turning on these cheats will temporarily disable achievements in your mission, and entering the same code twice will – most times, but not always – disable the cheat. These codes can be used on PC, Xbox, and Playstation platforms.
Without further ado, here are the 15 Craziest Cheats You Need To Try In Grand Theft Auto V.
15 Explosive Melee
Who needs fancy weapons when you can simply use explosive melee attacks? This particular cheat enables players to do just that – attack enemies, cops, or innocent passerbys that give them a dirty look – with the option to use overpowered short-range weapons or their mere bare hands.
With this unique ability, players can now throw punches or swing weapons that will literally cause an explosion upon physical impact – an ideal defense against enemies that might come a little too close. If you've ever wanted to feel like an X-Men character in-game (albeit less flashy), this cheat's for you.

This feature can come in handy when you find yourself in need of a little dramatic effect, depending on what situation your character finds themselves in. Need a little rain to gritty up a car chase? Love grenade launchers? You can now get an infinite number of them, or for however many times you're able to exploit this little in-game trick.
To stock up on this particular weapon, just head on down to this remote cave location on the map. Once there, have your character dive into the lake and down to the bottom to retrieve a glowing grenade launcher among the rocks.
Upon surfacing, save the game, reload it, and dive back into the ocean. You'll find that the grenade launcher has reappeared, ready for the taking.
Players can reuse this cheat over and over to their liking, and can leave with enough grenade launchers to cause some Michael Bay-level destruction on the streets of Los Santos without having to spend a cent.
2 Infinite Cash
If you're low on cash, this cheat's sure to help you out. While there's no code involved, players can sneakily exploit the game mechanics to unlock infinite stacks of money, with only a few simple steps.
To jump onto this (highly effective) get-rich-quick scheme, all you have to do is get your character on a boat, and drive it all the way to a point in the ocean just north of the of the Del Perro Pier.
Once you've arrived at your target location, dive down into the water until you stumble upon the wreckage of an old submarine (or what appears to be an old, rusty, underwater structure).
Just atop this structure is a glowing silver briefcase, which your character can instantly pick up upon contact. Here's where the cheat comes in: upon acquiring the case, quickly switch to a different character, then back to your original one. Like magic, the briefcase has reappeared – granting you another set of $25, 000 buckaroos.
This cheat can be used however many times you wish – though be wary that having a wanted level can stop you from switching characters, and thus, respawning the cash case!
1 Play as Bigfoot
Playing as Bigfoot isn't so much a “cheat” as it a hidden easter egg in the game. Still, a set of secret instructions must be followed in order to effectively unlock this character state, and are quite specifically detailed.
Your character must hunt down what has been titled as the “Bigfoot Peyote Plant”, located in the Chiliad State Wilderness. Before obtaining the magical plant, however – certain game settings must be in place in order for it to spawn correctly.
You have to have all other peyote plants unlocked, the weather must be foggy on PC or snowy on consoles, you must have finished the game, including the Strangers and Freaks mission - “The Last One”, it has to be Tuesday between 5:30 and 8:00 AM, and you must be playing on either Xbox One, PS4, or PC.
Once you've checked all these off your list, your character should find a golden plant at the bottom of a particular tree (see this video to figure out which one) – and upon consuming it, should magically turn into a large, hairy, fully controllable Bigfoot.
