Netflix's Grace and Frankie started off as a story about two women who were left by their husbands after they fell in love with each other. But after six seasons, times have changed. Grace and Frankie were once lonely and confused women but they're now new business partners, best friends, and living life to the fullest.

Viewers wondered what would happen to this fabulous duo when one of them wanted to move on in a serious romantic relationship and in the sixth season, we finally saw what that looked like. After four seasons of flirting and fighting, Nick and Grace finally made it official by eloping. But are they the right fit? Did they move into marriage too quickly? Let's take a look at five reasons why this pair is perfect and five reasons why they should re-think their relationship.

THEY WORK: THEY'RE BOTH LIKE-MINDED IN BUSINESS

Grace and Nick met each other through business, so it makes sense that business is the third party in this relationship. It all started in the third season when Nick's company copied Vybrant's elegant design.

Frankie and Grace marched down to get to the bottom of it, and Nick was blown away by Grace's beauty and brains. She was passionate, knowledgeable, and feisty — the total package to Nick. Their love of business is what brings them together.

DON'T WORK: THEY'RE NOT ALWAYS HONEST WITH ONE ANOTHER

As good of a match as Grace and Nick may seem, honesty is a huge factor in relationships, and they don't seem to have a lot of it. They're constantly apologizing for things they didn't say when they should have. The confusing part is they're both quite understanding of each other, so it's peculiar why they don't voice their opinions more often. In the short time we've known Nick, he's already lied about his relationship with Miriam, tax evasion, and security fraud. But Grace isn't an angel either; she kept her mouth closed about her age, her joint pain, and her own insecurities in their relationship.

THEY WORK: AND YET GRACE CLAIMS THIS IS THE MOST HONEST RELATIONSHIP SHE'S HAD

Oddly enough, as dishonest as these two are with one another, they have both said that this relationship is the most honest one they've had. After lying and hiding in her marriage to Robert for years, Grace wanted to make some changes the second time around — something Frankie needed to remind her of. And while we don't know too much about Nick's past, we do know he's been married three times before Grace, proving he needs to make this relationship count, too.

THEY DON'T WORK: NICK MOVED ON RATHER QUICKLY ONCE GRACE DISMISSED HIM

At one point, Grace kept pushing Nick away until he finally left. He showed her time and time again that he wanted to be committed to her but she let her own insecurities of her age get in between their relationship.

Once she left the senior living center and found out her beach house had sold, she assumed Nick bought it. To thank him, she and Frankie headed to his penthouse but it didn't end well. They were in the same elevator as a gorgeous young woman who was on her way up to see Nick. This proved that Nick was trying to move on...way too quickly.

THEY WORK: THEY BOTH FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT CHILDREN

Besides drinking heavily and always looking perfect, Grace's other popular trait is how she feels about children. Even though she raised two successful daughters, she hates being around kids. Both Brianna and Mallory have said that Grace wasn't the best mom, and that's shown in the way she treats her grandkids. Funny enough, Nick's views on children match Grace's. He has a son who actually works at his company but he doesn't know him well enough to know what he's like. Nick didn't even know where his cubicle was. The couple's similar views on family is something that actually brings them together.

THEY DON'T WORK: NICK GETS JEALOUS OF GRACE'S RELATIONSHIP WITH FRANKIE

In case fans were wondering if Nick was going to be jealous of Grace's friendly relationship with Robert, he was anything but. If anything, he welcomed Robert with open arms. The relationship he is jealous of, however, is Grace's friendship with Frankie.

The two women went through something together only they could understand, and it brought them unimaginably close. Because of their bond and their dependency on one another, it can be hard for Nick to get in between them. After all, Grace would rather be at the beach house with Frankie than in the penthouse with him.

THEY WORK: GRACE'S CHILDREN ACTUALLY APPROVE OF NICK

Considering Grace is 80 years old and both her daughters are adults with their own lives, Grace didn't need their approval of Nick. But knowing how close-knit her family became with Frankie's, it's easier when everyone gets along. Thankfully, both Brianna and Mallory approved of Nick as a person and as a partner for their mother. Typically, these two hilarious young women can be quite judgmental but in this case, all systems were a go.

DON'T WORK: IS THE AGE GAP TOO BIG?

Nick appears to be in his 50s whereas Grace (for a long time) said she was in her 70s but in actuality, Grace turned 80 in the fifth season. Saying she was 80 was a hard thing for her to do but it was time she faced the truth. Being 80 sounded scary to Nick but he didn't care about her age. He loved her personality, her wit, and her charm.

However, Grace's insecurities revolving around age (and everything that comes with) gets in between her and Nick often. She promised to be honest with him about her shortcomings and yet she still managed to lie to him when her knees were hurting in the sixth season. The age difference issue was multiplied when Grace found out Nick had been several with younger women (including one of Brianna's friends).

THEY WORK: THEY'RE BOTH UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR RESPECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEIR EXES

Oddly enough, there's no jealousy or animosity directed towards either one of their exes. Robert appears to really like Nick and Nick seems respectful of the relationship they had before Robert left her. And while Nick wasn't exactly truthful about his assistant Miriam being his ex-wife, Grace was more mad at Nick than at Miriam. She actually really liked Miriam and wanted to be friends with her despite the fact that she and Nick were serious enough to marry and have a child together.

DON'T WORK: HE'S CURRENTLY IN JAIL

Grace was in shock when the FBI took her new husband away in handcuffs. As it turned out, Nick wasn't all that honest about what he was doing with his billions of dollars. And although Nick left her thousands of dollars in his couch, no woman in her 80s wants to be waiting at home for her husband when he's in jail. This is a time where they should be experiencing life together as a new couple, not through phone calls between bars. Who knows if they're strong enough to make this work now.
