If they aren't making their own mistakes, they are suffering the consequences of mistakes made at the hands of others. One character regularly stuck in the cross-hairs is Frankie. Here is 5 times we felt bad for Frankie, and 5 times we hated her.

Hated: Losing Carl

When Frankie and Robert decide to spend the day together, it doesn't go exactly as planned. Frankie and Robert decide to get high together and order a massive amount of Chinese food.

In their haze, they accidentally leave the door open and Sol's beloved dog Carl gets out. At first, the two try to hide this from Sol, but he quickly figures out what is going on. Luckily, Robert is able to find Carl and bring him home.

Felt Bad: Credit Card Cut Off

Grace and Frankie

Frankie and Grace were shocked when they discovered their credit cards weren't working. Following their separation, Robert and Sol thought it would be best to restrict their access to the family money, worried the women may hastily spend out of anger.

This was particularly shocking to Frankie, as she had always maintained a positive relationship with Sol and felt extremely betrayed by his lack of trust in her.

Hated: Sleeping With Sol

Frankie is in a very delicate state of mind after her separation from Sol. She still loves him despite what he has done to her. In a moment of passion, Frankie sleeps with Sol despite the fact that Sol is engaged to be married to Robert.

Frankie understands the hurt that cheating can cause as she has just been on the receiving end, yet she is quick to engage in cheating herself. In the end, this decision only makes things harder - not only on Robert and Sol, but also on herself.

Felt Bad: Babe's Death

Babe is one of Frankie's dearest friends. The moment where Babe reveals to Frankie that she is suffering with cancer is crushing. Being the good friend that she is, Frankie hesitantly supports Babe's decision to have one last party and end her life before she begins to suffer.

Accepting Babe's decision doesn't make this any easier on Frankie and she is clearly devastated at the loss of her close friend. Babe's powerful farewell speech at the party is sure to leave fans in tears.

Hated: Attacking Krystle

When Coyote decides he wants to meet his biological mother, Frankie has a hard time accepting this. While it's true she is struggling with accepting this as she feels it threatens her identity as Coyote's mother, Frankie doesn't handle this interaction well. She and Sol invite Krystle over for a brunch to get to know her.

During the meal, Frankie struggles and has a poor attitude. When Coyote asks her to pass the Tabasco, she decides to chuck it across the table. The bottle hits Krystle on her nose and she begins to bleed profusely. While Frankie probably didn't intend to harm Krystle, if she had taken the time to process her feelings prior to this encounter, things probably would have gone a lot smoother.

Felt Bad: Living In Senior Center

Grace and Frankie's children become concerned about their ability to live independently. They convince the pair to move into an assisted living facility. They are both miserable and decide to escape, stealing a medical golf cart and driving off towards their beach house.

When they get to the house, they discover that the kids have decided to sell the property without speaking to them. This leaves Grace and Frankie in a terrible position and very upset.

Hated: Getting Money From Brianna

When Grace and Frankie are in desperate need of money for their company Vybrant, they discuss options for getting the funds they need to run their business. While Frankie suggests asking Brianna for help, Grace is adamant that she does not want to ask Brianna for help.

Grace explains that she wants to be able to do this on her own and prove that she still has what it takes to run a successful business. Ultimately, Frankie decides to go behind Grace's back and get the money from Brianna anyway, ignoring her wishes.

Felt Bad: Had A Stroke

Things take a scary turn when Frankie begins to act strange. After rushing her to the hospital against her protests, the doctor reveals that Frankie had a stroke.

Even more concerning, the doctor reveals that this wasn't the first time. Sometime in her past, Frankie had suffered another stroke that she wasn't even aware of. This scene is devastating as Frankie and her family worry about what his means for her health and future.

Hated: Cheating On Jacob And Jack

Frankie and Jacob had a wonderful relationship that fans were sad to see come to an end. After moving on, Frankie begins to date Jack and they form a meaningful relationship. Just then, Jacob returns and Frankie is torn about what to do. She enjoys her relationship with both Jacob and Jack.

She initially decides to try and date both of these men at the same time while hiding the other from each man. This doesn't work out well and Frankie becomes overwhelmed and exhausted. While choosing can be difficult, Frankie should have been honest and upfront about her feelings from the beginning.

Felt Bad: Sol Left Her

The hardest thing Frankie has overcome was Sol leaving her. Unlike Grace and Robert, Frankie and Sol had a genuine relationship. Sol was more than her lover, he was her best friend. She mourns this loss and really struggles to cope with the reality of her new situation.

Watching her struggle is agonizing. Perhaps the most powerful line in the entire series is when Grace asks Frankie why she is not angry with Sol and Frankie breaks down and says "because I'm heartbroken."
