Four murals depicting Gotham Knights' protagonists have been revealed in Montréal to promote the upcoming DC title. The murals are within walking distance of the studio where Gotham Knights was developed, and are a must-see for fans of the Batfamily. Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood have all been rendered in their designs from the game, which sees Batman's former sidekicks take on the shadowy Court of Owls, Batman's Illuminati equivalent.

The Gotham Knights game sees Batman's various proteges such as Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin stepping up to protect Gotham from the Court of Owls in the aftermath of the Dark Knight's death. Gameplay and story trailers have led to some divided reactions, with complaints ranging from the combat not seeming as fluid as the kind seen in Rocksteady's highly acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, to some of the character models looking off when compared to their comic counterparts.  Jason Todd's Red Hood has in particular fallen afoul of online mockery, with the character boasting more of a tank-type physique to match his gameplay style.

WB Games Montréal took to Twitter to reveal its latest collaboration with marketing agency LNDMRK as part of Montréal's Mural Festival. In this collaboration, four local artists created impressive murals for each of Gotham Knights' playable DC heroes. The murals are all within walking distance of each other, as Jonathan Bergeron's Nightwing can be found at the intersection of Cartier and Marie-Anne, Kevin Ledo's Robin overlooks the Plateau intersection of Roy and Saint-Denis, MORT's Red Hood is on the side of a building at Saint-Urbain and Villeneuve, and duo Lacey and Layla's Batgirl is mere steps away from WB Games' Montréal studio where Gotham Knights was developed, situated where de la Visitation meets La Fontaine.

The murals are due to be on display for a full year, until June 2023, giving DC fans from all over plenty of time to see them first-hand after finishing Gotham Knights, which has a release date of October 2022. Unfortunately for players on past-gen consoles, WB Games announced last month that instead of having a cross-gen release as previously planned, it would be making Gotham Knights a current-gen exclusive like Rocksteady's fellow DC project, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. This has meant that Gotham Knights' planned release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been canceled, with the game now exclusively releasing on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Fans seem to be responding well to the Gotham Knights murals as hype builds for the title's October release. Many Montréal residents have already stated that they plan to visit the DC-themed art in person alongside the other impressive murals on display at the popular Mural Festival, which will be running until June 19. In the meantime, fans can expect more Gotham Knights trailers and gameplay to release as WB Games Montréal prepares for its launch.
