The CW's Gossip Girl certainly featured its fair share of drama. The Upper East Side was home to some of the most shocking scandals and dangerous lies on television, and fans loved every minute. But not everything was secrets and drama, though, because Serena and company did find the time to celebrate many birthdays, anniversaries, and of course, weddings.

The show featured eight weddings throughout its run, some of which were even the cornerstones of their respective episodes. Major events took place at all these events, but fans like some of these episodes more than others, as evidenced by their scores on the popular entertainment site IMDb.

The Unblairable Lightness Of Being - 7.8

Vanya and Dorota get married

Season 3 is pivotal for Chuck and Blair's relationship. They spend the first half together and happy, but things take a turn after Chuck trades her to his uncle, Jack Bass, in exchange for The Empire. After their break-up, Chuck goes out of his way to win Blair back and offers to pay for Dorota and Vanya's wedding as a result.

The wedding is the main focus in "The Unblairable Lightness of Being," but several events happen around it. Blair dismisses Chuck's attempts to apologize, Serena lies to Nate about her meeting with Carter Baizen, and Rufus finally discovers that Lily lied to him about her whereabouts. Despite the drama, the wedding is charming and cements Dorota and Vanya as one of the show's best couples.

Rufus Getting Married - 7.9

The first season 3 episode to center on a wedding, "Rufus Getting Married," features the long-awaited union between Rufus and Lily. After a series of ups and downs in their relationship, the two finally make it to the altar, but their wedding comes with a healthy dose of drama.

Georgina lures Scott — Rufus and Lily's child — back to the city, attempting to break them up, and Dan and Vanessa get pulled into the scheme. Chuck learns a distressing secret that Carter kept from Serena, and Blair becomes suspicious of Nate's girlfriend, Bree. The episode features Scott's last appearance in the show, which is odd considering both Rufus and Lily reconcile with him after the wedding.

Much "I Do" About Nothing - 7.9

The season 1 finale was a sad time for Serena and Dan. They spent most of the season together and happy until Georgina Sparks' arrival ruined everything. After learning the truth about Serena and Pete Fairman, Dan ends things with her during Bart and Lily's wedding ceremony.

The wedding itself is a major part of the episode, and Lily even considers eloping with Rufus before deciding to stay with Bart. Chuck and Blair also make progress in their relationship, and so do Nate and Vanessa. However, fans of the show will always remember this episode because of Serena and Dan's breakup. And considering how bad things get with them in future seasons, perhaps it was the best thing to do.

Gone Maybe Gone - 7.7

Serena and Steven looking embarrassed, as Blair and Georgina look confused

"Gone Maybe Gone" is the season premiere of the show's sixth and final season. It features the gang reuniting after spending some time apart to search for Serena, who left the city at the beginning of the summer and has yet to return. In fact, no one saw her at all, not even Lily, confirming her spot as the show's worst mother.

After Gossip Girl points them towards an address in the countryside, they arrive at a luxurious home and find out a wedding is about to happen. They also learn that Serena is there, living with Steven Spence under the identity of "Sabrina." Blair thinks it's Serena's wedding and dramatically interrupts it, but it turns out it's the ceremony for a different couple, David and David. The whole thing is amusing if a tad ridiculous, but it's Gossip Girl, so it never feels out of place.

G.G. - 8.4

Blair dances with Louis in Gossip Girl

The show's 100th episode focused on Blair's long-awaited wedding to Louis. In typical Gossip Girl fashion, the wedding was full of drama, scandal, lying, cheating, and schemes. Georgina made her triumphant return to ruin Blair's day and succeeded when she broadcast a video of Blair confessing her love for Chuck.

Meanwhile, Dan struggled with his feelings for Blair, while Serena struggled with hers for Dan. The episode ends with Louis finally snapping at Blair, telling her they'll stay married and he'll make life a living hell. Realizing what a big mistake she just made, Blair escapes her own wedding reception and runs down Madison Avenue in her wedding dress, in a moment that's gloriously over the top, even by Gossip Girl's standards.

O Brother, Where Bart Thou? - 8.5

Cyrus marries Eleanor in Gossip Girl

Eleanor and Cyrus are the show's best couple, without a doubt. They are mature, supportive of each other, loving, and honest, a healthy pairing amidst a sea of dysfunctional love affairs. At first, Blair dislikes Cyrus and even tries to separate him from her mother. His charming personality soon wins her over, and they end up having a close and loving relationship.

Cyrus and Eleanor tie the knot in the thirteenth episode of season 2, "O Brother, Where Bart Thou?" The episode also features Bart Bass' funeral, so the wedding serves as a nice distraction from the heaviness. Plus, Eleanor and Cyrus are always welcome presences in the show.

New York, I Love You XOXO - 9.1

Dan helping Serena down the stairs

"New York, I Love You XOXO" ended things like only Gossip Girl could: with not one but two weddings. Chuck and Blair tie the knot in Central Park as a group of policemen literally rush to arrest him. It's a somewhat hilarious scene that still keeps the emotional side of their union. The ceremony is small, only friends and family, and they share an elaborate and movie-worthy kiss before he gets taken away.

The episode ends with another wedding, Dan and Serena's. Their union is a tad more problematic because he's the blogger who bullied her multiple time throughout the years. Still, Serena is a vision in gold, and it's nice to see that, despite everything that happened in their lives, these people will truly be friends for life.
