Ed Westwick revived his iconic Gossip Girl character of Chuck Bass in a new TikTok. Westwick played the Upper East Side's resident bad boy, gaining a reputation throughout the show's run as a womanizer and all around bad guy. Chuck would go on to marry Blair Waldorf after years of their on-and-off again relationship. His in-series reputation translated into some great Chuck Bass meme fodder and he remains one of the more iconic characters to come out of the long running CW show.

Gossip Girl revival is set to hit HBO Max sometime this year, taking on a whole new generation of Upper East Side teenagers and their various scandals. Of course, things are a lot different than when Gossip Girl originally premiered in 2007. Social media now dominates the lives of teenagers and that is sure to play a key role in the new series. The Gossip Girl revival will also bring a more diverse, queer cast front-and-center after the original show's lack of perspectives.

Still, Chuck Bass will always remain the Upper East Side's number one bad boy and Westwick doesn't want us to forget it. Westwick posted a TikTok in the popular meme format, asking users to tell him they've watched Gossip Girl without explicitly saying it. The video cuts to Westwick in Chuck's immediately recognizable suit and tie and he whispers the iconic line, "I'm Chuck Bass," in his American accent.

Chuck Bass is arguably Gossip Girl's most iconic character - his onscreen antics in the early seasons of the series are highly memorable, as his nihilistic view of the world. His growth throughout the show, though, proved there was more to the character than his bad boy ways. Eventually, Chuck revealed that he was in love with Blair Waldorf and although they had a few seasons of back-and-forth drama, the pair eventually married in one of the series' more emotional moments.

The possibility of Chuck Bass' return lingers over the Gossip Girl revival. Kristen Bell is set to return as the titular narrator and while it's highly unlikely that Penn Badgley's Dan Humphrey is behind the gossip blog all these years later, the show hasn't ruled out the possibility of past characters returning. It hasn't been confirmed, but it's possible that the Gossip Girl revival takes place in the same universe as the original show, opening up the door for previous appearances from iconic characters. Gossip Girl will go down as one of the most beloved teen soaps of all time and the return of characters like Serena, Blair, Dan, and Chuck is too enticing of an opportunity to pass up.
