The Queen Bee of Gossip Girl had fewer romances than her best friend Serena, but each of her love stories was epic. Of Blair's limited entanglements, her relationships with Chuck and Nate stood out the most. Blair had been in a steady relationship with Nate at the beginning of the series but eventually ended up with slick-talker Chuck at the end of the Gossip Girl saga.

While most fans were rooting for Chuck and Blair to end up together, which they did, some also think that the two weren't good for each other and that Blair should have ended up with golden boy Nate in season 6. So, who is her true soulmate?

Nate: Together Since Kindergarten

Blair and Nate had dated a long time — since kindergarten to be exact. This meant that the two grew up together and understood each other, which is an important factor to have in a relationship. Their families knew each other too, which made Nate an ideal partner for Blair. In the Upper East Side and its social circles, Nate fit into Blair's life perfectly, and also provided her with the support and ideal life that she had craved for years.

Chuck: Brought Out The Free Spirit In Blair

Being around Chuck brought out a different, more liberated side of Blair. After her breakup with Nate, she went out with Chuck to his burlesque bar and performed on stage, which she would never have done in normal life with Nate around. Blair was always slightly uptight and reserved because she wanted to portray a flawless image of herself. Around Chuck, she took some much-needed risks and lived her life with a little more flair, which ultimately made her happier.

Nate: Wasn't Afraid To Win Blair Back

Nate wore his heart on his sleeve. He didn't hesitate to show his true feelings to Blair. After she found out about his illicit affair with Serena the year before, she broke up with him and secretly started sleeping with Chuck.

Nate realized that he had made a mistake and lost his girlfriend when he found out that she had moved on (but not with whom). He reached out to her and won her back without any hesitation, unlike Chuck, who took three seasons to tell Blair he loved her. Nate was emotionally available.

Chuck: Cut From The Same Cloth

Blair and Chuck were twin flames, and this was what made them so perfectly compatible. They both enjoyed elaborate scheming, manipulating others, and had an identical outlook on life. Thanks to their similarities, they both had a lot of fun together, and isn't that what the perfect relationship should be? Their passion for life translated into an infectious chemistry, making their love a once-in-a-lifetime kind. Blair couldn't find that passion in any other relationship, which is why Chuck was the man for her.

Nate: Didn't Play Games

Despite his flaws, Nate Archibald was a truly decent guy who had his heart in the right place through all six seasons. He was mature about his love for Blair and didn't believe in playing games with the matters of the heart. Chuck used Blair as a pawn too many times — he traded her with Jack for his hotel, left her at the airport for their Europe trip, and didn't tell her he loved her for years. Nate may have cheated on Blair, but he only did it once and never used her for personal gains.

Chuck: More Sexual Chemistry

Another reason why Chuck and Blair were endgame was because of their fiery sexual chemistry. Blair had sex with Chuck for the first time, and she was able to shed all her inhibitions around the Bass scion effortlessly. Nate and Blair had been together a long time, and they weren't able to have the romantic consummation that Blair had dreamed of because there was always something that stopped them. Engaging in elaborate roleplay was a favored hobby of Chuck and Blair's, and they never had such an intense physical connection with anyone else.

Nate: Respected Blair

If there was one good-hearted character in the Upper East Side, it was Nate. Sure, he liked women and had many dalliances, but when he was with a woman he respected her and didn't shame her.

On the other hand, Chuck slut-shamed Blair on a number of occasions (he even told her he wasn't interested in her because she had slept with too many men) and even called her a "sweaty racehorse." Nate never used unsavory language or chided Blair when they dated.

Chuck: Just As Ambitious

Both Chuck and Blair were highly ambitious individuals. Chuck had been handed down his hotel business by his father, but he worked hard to keep it a successful one. Blair refused to be a trust-fund kid and she worked hard to get internships at magazines and even started her own label without her mother's help. The couple even agreed that they both needed to find their paths in life before they became too dependent on each other.

Nate: Never Sent A Tip To Gossip Girl

Sending tips to the notorious Gossip Girl was an accepted norm on the Upper East Side. Everybody sent in juicy pieces of gossip and even close secrets about their friends to Gossip Girl, but never Nate. He never used Gossip Girl to manipulate his friends, even though they did it to him and others rampantly. Chuck revealed Blair's secret that she had slept with two guys in a week to Gossip Girl in a bid to break her and Nate up, and this was a huge violation of trust. He then rejected Blair for having sex with other men, which is something that Nate would never do because he didn't indulge Gossip Girl.

Chuck: Blair Was His Only Love

Blair was the only woman Chuck ever loved. Before her, he had never thought he could find a lasting connection with a woman. The two shared an intoxicating love that endured several obstacles — her marriage to Louis, his emotional unavailability, her relationship with Dan, and his father's reincarnation. It took some time, but Chuck cleaned up his act and was devoted to Blair during the later seasons of Gossip Girl, making him her ideal mate.
