Although the finale aired in 2012, Gossip Girl remains one of The CW's most influential series. Fans were enthralled by the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite and dazzled by the Upper East Side's signature styles. Blair Waldorf, Serena van der Woodsen, Chuck Bass, and the rest of the group never failed to put their best foot forward when it came to fashion, despite the drama that plagued their lives.

The Upper East Side socialites debuted a plethora of stunning stylistic choices throughout the series. Each character from the popular CW series had a unique wardrobe that made them stand out from their peers, but who was Gossip Girl's best-dressed character?

Juliet Sharp

Villainous newbie Juliet debuted in the series during season 4. An antagonist for the Upper East Siders, Juliet targeted Serena in vengeance for her brother Ben, as the socialite's shady past caught up with her. Juliet clashed with Serena at Columbia before her schemes were eventually unraveled.

Juliet's wardrobe was stylish, sophisticated, and elegant. She may have been a force for evil on the Upper East Side, but her ensemble of glamorous gowns, dresses, and blazers never missed a beat.

Dan Humphrey

Dan Humphrey was the outsider looking in on the scandalous lives of Manhatten's elite. A proud Brooklyn resident, Dan displayed a quirky style that was more individualized than others, representing his search for identity amongst anonymity.

The budding writer's favored fashion staples consisted of v-necks, waistcoats, and scarves. Though less extravagant than the Upper East Siders, Dan's wardrobe was consistently smart and contemporary.

Vanessa Abrahams

Like Dan, Vanessa was an outsider to the Upper East Side group in Gossip Girl. Her stylistic choices reflected this; many of her outfits were vibrant vintage pieces that highlighted her hipster connection to the Lower East Side.

Initially, Vanessa wears a range of varsity jackets with skinny jeans. Her wardrobe evolves throughout the series like the other characters, incorporating several unique dresses and evening gowns.

Nate Archibald

Nate Archibald's style was simpler than his peers but no less stylish. During the first season, Nate is usually seen in his St. Jude's uniform. The Archibald heir is the antithesis of his best friend Chuck, presenting a wholesome image that compliments Blair's preppy outfits.

Lily van der Woodsen

Serena often stole the show with her fashion choices, but the socialite had to contend with her mother to be the best-dressed Van der Woodsen. Lily was a glamorous woman with an elegant wardrobe filled with luxurious gowns, dresses, and jewelry.

Lily dons some of the Gossip Girl's most stunning pieces whilst attending various functions and events throughout the series. Whether its typical 80s garb or expensive silk suits, the Van der Woodsen matriarch pulls it off.

Georgina Sparks

Another scheming villainess with impeccable taste in fashion was Georgina Sparks, frenemy to Serena, Blair, and the group. Georgina shared a similar rock chick look with Jenny; both favored dark, bold looks, with Georgina displaying a love for leather and monochrome.

Like Serena, Georgina often favors jeans and leggings over skirts, with daring jackets and accessories. Combined with her long dark hair, the social schemer often looked like a shadowy figure working to stir up the Upper East Side's scandals.

Chuck Bass

Gossip Girl Chuck Bass

The dashing entrepreneur Chuck Bass was one of the most dastardly and debonair figures in New York City. During season 1, Chuck's brightly colored scarves and jumpers were his signature style. As he matured, Chuck swapped his scarves for sleek, sophisticated suits and ties.

Chuck's wardrobe evolved to reflect his journey from a rebellious teenager to a hard-working businessman. The smooth-talking, brooding heir to Bart Bass' empire ends the series as one of its sharpest-dressed characters.

Serena van der Woodsen

Whereas Blair opted for a poise image, Serena van der Woodsen often displayed a disheveled, boho-chic stylistic choice. The socialite paired her iconic long blonde locks with a mixture of high fashion dresses, skirts, and jeans, as well as a series of vintage pieces.

Serena's wardrobe reflected her 'all play, no work' persona. Inspired by Kate Moss, the socialite donned some of the show's most stunning pieces throughout her adventures in the Upper East Side.

Jenny Humphrey

Initially, in season 1, Jenny mimicks Blair's preppy skirts and headbands. From season 2 onwards, Little J develops a unique style of her own, inspired by actress Taylor Momsen. Jenny ditches her headbands and pinafores for dark colors, fishnet stockings, and several unique, tailored dresses.

Jenny's Gothic style was an individual look that differed her reign at Constance from Queen B's. Jenny makes her own punk rock clothing during season 2, before inheriting a new wardrobe when her father marries Lily in season 3.

Blair Waldorf

Blair Waldorf was the Queen of Constance Billard, as well as the Upper East Side's queen of style. The scheming socialite always put her best foot forward when it came to fashion. Season 1 sees Blair in her iconic uniform and headband before her style evolves as the series progresses.

Blair's wardrobe consisted of the most expensive and luxurious designers, with a preppy edge that set her apart from her peers. Jenny, Serena, and co. were worthy contenders to her throne, but ultimately, Queen B was the most stylish socialite in Manhatten.
