As Thor: Love And Thunder climbs ever higher in box office numbers, Screen Rant can exclusively reveal a first look at the latest Marvel Legends figure from Hasbro. Gorr the God Butcher, potentially the MCU's most terrifying villain yet, was portrayed by Christian Bale and explored what might go awry when deities exploit and abandon the people who worship them. Though the current figurine is derived from his Marvel Comics appearance rather than its cinematic one, it's only natural that it be released now as his movie debut made larger audiences curious about his literary origins.
Introduced in Thor: God of Thunder #1, which was published in 2013, Gorr was adapted for the big screen with necessary changes to fit the story of Thor: Love and Thunder. The new movie introduced not only Gorr to the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon, but also a large number of fellow gods and demi-gods who will soon be making their way to lines of merchandise and collectibles. Perhaps Hercules or Zeus will soon join the rest of the Marvel Legends line-up for the film. In the meantime, the Marvel Comics-inspired version of Gorr will be available for pre-order on August 30 through Amazon.
