Google Search has introduced continuous scrolling on mobiles. The new feature makes it even easier for users to go down the rabbit hole. This is just the latest update to help users find what they are searching for. Google announced on their blog at the beginning of the year a redesign for Search on mobile. The update made the text easier to read and the important information more prominent. The internet giant has made other adjustments too. Google also added the best deals to the shopping section.

This year, Google also made it even easier for iPhone users to delete their search history. Users can find out everything they want about their favorite celebrity while also wiping it clean after. All iOS users have to do is open the Google Search app, click on "More," then select "Delete last 15 min."

Google is adding another feature that it announced on its blog, continuous scrolling for Google Search. Instead of clicking "See more" at the bottom of the page, the results will automatically update, making it a more seamless experience for users. The tech company started rolling out the update on Thursday for most iOS and Android devices for the English language in the U.S, so some users may see a delay receiving the new service. Text ads are also getting a revamp. Google told Tech Crunch that text ads would appear starting at the top of the "second page and beyond." There would also be fewer text ads at the bottom of the page. Shopping and Local ads will stay the same.

Tips to Best Utilize Continuous Scrolling

Google mentioned on its blog that most people would find what they are looking for in the first few search results, but there are cases where someone might want more results. For example, a user may want costume ideas for Halloween. They may wish to browse where to buy costumes, do-it-yourself options and other people's costumes from years past. Maybe someone wants recipes ideas for what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers. These require more results than just a few. And now, users can continue to scroll until they have all the inspiration they need. Or, as mentioned before, the user may just want to go down the rabbit hole reading about their favorite celebrity.

Some users may feel unnerved by the update because all they ever needed was one page of search results. Now, there will be no stopping point. They will have to pull themselves out of the abyss. Happy searching.
