The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are two of the most striking phones Google has ever released, and a large part of this is thanks to the fun colors that they're available in. Starting with the first Pixel in 2016, Google's always done a good job of sprucing up its products with exciting colorways. Whether it be the intense Really Blue of that first Pixel, the subtle Not Pink hue for the Pixel 3, or the incredible Oh So Orange style for the Pixel 4, this has long been a strong suit of Google's.

With the Pixel 6 family, Google's stretching its design muscles like never before. Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro look unlike any entry in the Pixel lineup to date. They have glossy glass backs, a massive camera bar, centered Google logos, and a two-tone aesthetic. Along with all of this, Google's also paired each phone with three distinct colors to choose from.

Starting with the regular Pixel 6, the first and most subdued color is Stormy Black. For the person who doesn't want their phone to draw a lot of attention, Stormy Black is the way to go. It has a deep black color on the bottom portion, a light gray section at the top, and in between those is the hulking black camera bar. If Stormy Black is a bit too boring, Sorta Seafoam is another great choice. Google's website shows it with a bright blue bottom portion and a light green area at the top. The blue is much more muted in reality (looking more gray than anything else), making this a good choice for someone who wants a pop of color without going overboard. And, last but certainly not least, there's Kinda Coral. This is the most vibrant of all the Pixel 6 colors. It has a soft orange/pink hue on the bottom, a more intense coral color at the top, and the black camera bar acts as a nice contrast to both of them.

Then there's the Pixel 6 Pro. As is often the case with pro devices, Google reserves its more vibrant colors for the baseline model and gives the Pro variant more 'professional' ones. The one color shared between the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro is Stormy Black. Just like on the regular Pixel 6, Stormy Black on the Pixel 6 Pro is the best color for someone who wants to keep it simple. There's the darker black bottom, a lighter gray top, and the glossy black camera bar in the middle.

One color exclusive to the Pixel 6 Pro is Cloudy White. The main portion has a white finish, the top area is a pleasing gray, and the black camera offers excellent contrast. It's not nearly as colorful as Sorta Seafoam or Kinda Coral, but it's a great alternative to folks who aren't sold on Stormy Black.  And, last but certainly not least, the Pixel 6 Pro's third and best color is Sorta Sunny. Sorta Sunny is a really interesting color. It has a yellow/orange main section, the standard black camera bar, and a muted pink hue is on the top. It may not be for everyone, but it's certainly the most visually interesting color in the Pixel 6 Pro's portfolio.

All-in-all, this is a decent color lineup for Google's latest Pixels. Having a couple of extra vibrant colors to go with the pastel focus would have been great, but as it currently stands, there's not too much to complain about. Regardless if someone goes for the Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, there's likely to be a color to match your style.
