Less than a month before the premiere of The Batman, star Robert Pattinson reveals his favorite lines from his movies. Pattinson will star as the caped crusader alongside Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as Riddler, and Colin Farrell as Penguin in The Batman which is set to premiere in March. Matt Reeves serves as director and co-writer with Peter Craig of the latest movie rendition of the Dark Knight's tale which Reeves wanted to contrast to previous Batman films.

Pattinson first established himself as an actor in 2005 when he appeared as fan-favorite Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire, but he made a name for himself as Edward Cullen in Twilight in 2008 and the following four movies in the saga. Outside of the Twilight Saga, Pattinson explored his range as an actor and appeared in a diverse collection of roles from robber Connie Nikas in the crime-thriller Good Time to lighthouse keeper Thomas Howard in Robert Eggers's The Lighthouse to the protagonist's handler Neil in the sci-fi spy film Tenet. Then, in 2019 it was announced that Pattinson would be the next Batman after auditioning a short list of candidates to replace Ben Affleck.

Earlier this week, Robert Pattinson sat down with GQ to discuss some of his most iconic roles. Although he had a lot to say about both Edward Cullen and Bruce Wayne, Pattinson revealed the two favorite lines he ever said were from Josh and Benny Safdie's Good Time. Read Pattinson's description of his favorite lines below:

"Well, there's two lines in it which are probably my two favorite lines I think I've ever said in a movie which is the one when I was saying to Taliah, 'Don't be confused. It's just gonna make it worse for me.' I don't know anyone else, apart from Josh, who would ever come up with that line. And then the line, I'm talking about the kind of metaphysical connection with Taliah, and at the end of it, it just undercuts it, saying, 'All right, I'm just gonna go take a shit in that guy's house.' It's just a very, very specific feeling."

Pattinson says that the reason he liked these lines was for the unique feelings that the writer created. Hearing that Pattinson says this is no surprise because the actor has vocally expressed his desire for strange roles in the past. For example, his character Thomas Howard in The Lighthouse goes mad when a storm strands him and his partner on an island with little more than gin for rations. Even when his character is not written to be strange, Pattinson often pushes to lead the character in a different direction. Pattinson wanted Edward Cullen to be more angsty than he eventually played him, and it looks like Pattinson's Batman will use some of that angst.

Both The Batman director and Pattinson have teased that they will be showing a different side to Gotham's Bat. Instead of the tightly controlled Batman from previous movies, Pattinson's will reportedly show his more emotional side, as the actor adds his own style to the famous character. While Batman hopefully won't be one of Pattinson's stranger roles, fan excitement for The Batman means it is certain to be one of his most iconic.
