The Good Place season 3 is now less than a month away, and to keep fans from ending up in the Bad Place before then, NBC has released a soothing promo featuring a bunny in a bucket. The frequently absurd supernatural comedy series stars Kristen Bell as Eleanor Shellstrop, a thoughtless jerk who was killed in a shopping cart accident, and found herself mysteriously assigned a spot in the coveted and highly exclusive Good Place after her death.
The series follows Eleanor's efforts to keep from ending up in the Bad Place, with the help of her friends Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil), and Jason (Manny Jacinto). Also joining in their exploits are Michael (Ted Danson), the architect of the Good Place neighborhood where Eleanor and the others reside, and Janet (D'Arcy Carden), a cheerful artificial intelligence who serves people in the afterlife. Both season 1 and season 2 of The Good Place ended with radical changes to the status quo, and fans are eager to see how things develop in season 3.

To help temper that excitement with a little peace, this Good Place promo invites audiences to look at a bunny in a bucket, without asking any awkward questions about how the bunny came to be in the bucket or whether he's happy about being in the bucket. While this promo doesn't contain any footage from The Good Place season 3, we have caught a glimpse of what Eleanor and her friends are currently up to in a collection of stills. These images also revealed a new character called The Doorman, played by Mike O'Malley, who guards the door between Earth and the afterlife.
The ongoing theme of The Good Place is Eleanor and her friends trying to become better people, and exploring if such a thing is even possible, or whether they're doomed to repeat the same old patterns. When we saw them last, they had been given a second chance at life on Earth, and Eleanor had managed to seek out Chidi in search of guidance in the messy topic of ethical philosophy. Whether Chidi will succeed at helping Eleanor become a better person, and whether they'll find a way to link up with their old friends Tahani and Jason, remains to be seen.
