The former members of the Good Burger cast have changed a lot since the movie aired in 1997, and most have moved on to bigger prospects. However, in 2015, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited to reprise their Good Burger roles in a sketch on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This has fueled rumors about the rest of the Good Burger cast reuniting for a second movie, especially since the only follow-up made was a novel released in 1998 called "Good Burger 2 Go," the strange forgotten sequel to Good Burger.

The Good Burger movie is based on a series of sketches of the same name from the show All That, Nickelodeon's answer to Saturday Night Live. Upon release, Good Burger made just $23.7 million in the box office, which is technically still a success considering that the budget for the movie was just $8.5 million. Years later, Good Burger grew to cult status among those nostalgic for Nickelodeon's "golden era."
