As HGTV's Good Bones completes its fifth season, fans are itching to know more about hit star Mina Starsiak Hawk and her family. Good Bones is a hit reality series starring mother-daughter duo Mina Starsiak Hawk and Karen E Laine, otherwise known as "Two Chicks and a Hammer." The two women focus on renovating homes in Fountain Square, Bates Hendricks, and the surrounding areas in Indianapolis. Their mission is to "revitalize Indianapolis one property at a time."

When Mina graduated from college, the uncertainty of her career plans ended up leading her towards the decision to start her own renovation business in 2007.  She bought a house, tore it down to the studs, and rebuilt it with help from her mom, Karen E Laine. Karen is a former attorney and brings legal expertise along with community-mindfulness and spirited enthusiasm to this duo's mix.  While Mina now works full time on renovating homes and is able to complete around 14 houses a year, her hippy-chick mom is currently commencing her retirement from the day-to-day operations of the business to spend more time with her husband, Roger.

According to PopCulture, in an exclusive clip of next Tuesday's episode, Starsiak Hawk's son, Jack, can be seen paying a visit to a construction site, where he makes a new furry friend. The toddler, who is nearly two years old, is also expecting a new brother or sister, to be named Charlie Drew, a gender-neutral name, in September. Husband Stephen Hawk shares the enthusiasm for their expanding family, especially after losing a close, furry family member, Beatrice, in July.  Beatrice was a Belgian-Malinois dog and she was 13-years old when she passed away.  Mina and Steve both took to social media to show pictures of their furry baby over the years and make a touching tribute to her life through a posted poem called "Waiting at the Door".

The Starsiak Hawk family also experienced further grief this past March when Mina's sister-in-law, Stephanie, suddenly died.  Mina's family life has been up and down over the years, including a period of nine months when she and Steve cared for their then nine-month-old niece Julie, or 'Juju Bean', as Mina's sister needed to "figure out her stuff."

Despite the setbacks and tragedies that have plagued Mina's past, she continues to maintain a spunky, forward-focused attitude towards her business and life. That must be why millions of fans and followers crave more and more of this show as it enters its sixth season of filming.  We look forward to seeing and hearing more about her new baby to come in September and how she'll incorporate the little one into this hit show.
