In the world of Dragon Ball, Goku is a god-tier Z-Fighter who has more transformations than fans can count. And in an epic piece of new fan art, his overpowered Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 forms are mashed together to stunning results!
Posted on social media via Instagram, username @gwartdesigns’s page is chock-full of Dragon Ball goodness as they have uploaded more than a few pieces for fans of the series to ogle over. Sharing art from other anime and manga properties on top of characters from Marvel and DC Comics, @gwartdesigns has also mastered nerd creativity with a series of black light paintings that need to be seen to be believed.
A wildly unique piece of fan art that depicts Dragon Ball Super’s Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan aka Super Saiyan Blue and Dragon Ball GT’s Super Saiyan 4 in all their badass glory, these transformations are two of the most powerful forms Goku has ever ascended to, with only his near-omnipotent Ultra Instinct transformation taking things to an even higher level. And now, with @gwartdesigns going half and half with this Goku design, fans can see just how similar these two Super Saiyan variations are.
As seen in the image above, @gwartdesigns immediately does things a bit differently for this piece, as the face of Super Saiyan Blue Goku takes up the entire left side of the canvas, with Super Saiyan 4 occupying the right side. Colored in a vibrant shade of blue, Goku’s hair stands at ends on the Super Saiyan Blue side, while the much hairier, jet black hair of Super Saiyan 4 fills in the opposite half to great effect. Placing a kind of silvery cracked lightning bolt design right down the middle of the painting to divide the two Super Saiyan variations, @gwartdesigns finishes things off in a way that makes these transformations seem like two sides of the same coin, hammering home not just their visual similarities, but the immense power both forms hold.
