As the most popular show on Netflix, the astronomical success of Stranger Things made its cast into superstars overnight. Some of them were Hollywood veterans long before the show came around, such as Winona Ryder and David Harbour, while others, like Millie Bobby Brown, owe the success of their career to the series. As she continues to act in blockbusters with the recent Enola Holmes and the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong, her fellow cast member Charlie Heaton has seemingly chosen to go the indie route for now with The Souvenir.

Even outside the popularity bubble of Stranger Things, these actors have other projects they are associated with, and the list below looks at some of their upcoming films.

Finn Wolfhard - Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)

When the iconic Ghostbusters franchise was rebooted in 2016, the all-female cast attracted a lot of controversy, but the film was met with positive reviews overall. However, it flopped at the box office, which is why instead of a sequel to the reboot, a direct continuation of the 1980 films was developed.

Picking up 30 years after Ghostbusters II, it will follow the adventures of a newer generation of Ghostbusters with a young cast similar to that of Stranger Things, while maintaining the legacy of the original team. Finn Wolfhard will be playing the character of Trevor in the movie, and he's sure to bring something great to the film with his acting chops what they are.

David Harbour - Black Widow (2021)

A great many films have been (and are still being) affected by the COVID pandemic, as is the entire film industry as a whole, but perhaps none as much as Black WidowFans have been demanding a solo film for Scarlett Johannson's super-spy for so long, and now, even though it has been completed, there is no guarantee when people will actually get to see it.

David Harbour will be playing the role of a Captain America-like super soldier and father figure to Black Widow - Red Guardian, who is very much in line with his character Hopper from Stranger Things.

Natalia Dyer - Things Heard & Seen (2021)

2019's The Souvenir was one most critically acclaimed indie films of the year, starring Tilda Swinton and her daughter in a story of a young artist and her toxic relationship with a drug-addicted man.

It was inspired by the life of the director Joanna Hogg herself, who also wrote the film. Produced by none other than Martin Scorcese, the sequel was originally set to feature Robert Pattinson, who dropped out, and was replaced by Charlie Heaton and Harris Dickinson.

Joe Keery - Free Guy (2021)

Taika Watiti acts in the film too, whose presence is surprising considering he usually only appears in movies or shows he directs. Some popular YouTubers, such as Ninja and Jacksepticeye, will also be making cameo appearances.

R.L. Stine's young adult books have played a big part in the upbringing of entire generations of people, and his most popular series, Goosebumps, is the second best-selling book series in the world, with over 400 million copies sold.

Fear Street is one of the many other book series's written by him, with slightly more mature elements compared to Goosebumps. Developed by Chernin Entertainment, the film trilogy will be distributed by Netflix and star Sadie Sink and Community actress Gillian Jacobs, among many others.

A biographical drama about the life of cultural icon Elvis Presley, the upcoming film is being directed, written, and produced by The Great Gatsby director, Baz Luhrmann.  Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor Austin Butler will be appearing in the titular role as Elvis Presley, with Tom Hanks acting the part of his manager Colonel Tom Parker.

Stranger Things' Dacre Montgomery will be portraying Steve Binder, whose notable works as a producer and director include the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Compared to some of the other antagonists of the show, Cary Elwes's character, Larry Kline, who is the mayor of Hawkins, wasn't that dangerous at all, but he was despicable nonetheless.

Brett Gelman - Tom Clancy's Without Remorse (2021)

Tom Clancy's name will be more familiar to the average gamer than the average moviegoer, as there are well over 30 games featuring his name, but that doesn't mean there haven't been any noteworthy movie adaptations either.

His books are known best for their detailed military and espionage-related themes, and Without Remorse is no different. A film adaptation has been in the works since the book was released way back in 1993, and after years of being stuck in development hell, it will be releasing in 2021, with Michael B. Jordan in the lead. Brett Gelman will be playing the character of Victor Rykov in the film.

Millie Bobby Brown - Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)

While the MCU continues its reign of financial and critical success, on the sidelines, Legendary Entertainment is also trying to build up its very own cinematic universe called the "MonsterVerse". 2014's Godzilla and 2017's Kong: Skull Island rebooted the monsters with a modern-day narrative, and the upcoming film will pit them against each other in an attempt to see who will come out on top.

Millie Bobby Brown's character in the film is the daughter of two scientists who establishes a method of communication with the monsters and the character is a key part in the film.
