A Godzilla vs. Kong trailer asks which Titan will submit to the other. In North America, the highly anticipated MonsterVerse bout is only 16 days away from release. The official IMAX poster was released last week as tickets went on sale.

It has been said more than once that Godzilla vs. Kong will have a definitive winner. Director Adam Wingard teased a winner back in 2017 and recently reiterated there will be a victor. The official movie poster uses the tagline "One Will Fall." In summation, marketing wants moviegoers to know they will witness one Titan triumph over the other. This has fueled excitement for the showdown as fans pick a side, either Team Godzilla or Team Kong. Although there will probably be disappointment for the loser's fans, there's no denying Godzilla vs. Kong looks like a spectacle from beginning to end. From an 18 minute-long aircraft carrier scene to a slugfest in a neon-lit Hong Kong, there's a lot to look forward to. No matter the victor, the audience looks to win as well. The debut trailer has amassed over 69 million views, showing the immense interest in 2021's first big action blockbuster.

Legendary has released a short Godzilla vs. Kong trailer. Although it doesn't showcase any new footage, the video puts the monsters' conflict as the central focus, asking which Titan will bow. Check it out below.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the trailer is Madison's words appear to be edited with other dialogue to say there's "something provoking them into war." In the original trailer, she says there is "something provoking him that we're not seeing here," which is presumably talking about why Godzilla has seemingly turned against humanity. Either dialogue works, as the film's synopsis says "unseen forces" are the instigators of the conflict.

Who will bow first? As the trailer shows, Kong doesn't bow. Of course, it's hard to picture Godzilla bowing to any creature. This means the battle will likely go down until one renders the other unable to fight. The big question is if Godzilla's sheer atomic power will defeat Kong, or if the ape's ingenuity and battle-ax will clutch out the victory. Perhaps the best aspect of all this is it's impossible to tell. Fans are going in not knowing where the story will go, and who will be standing victorious. Since Godzilla vs. Kong releases internationally ahead of North America, it would probably be wise to be wary of social media to avoid spoiling the winner.
