Godzilla vs. Kong has received a new logo. The news comes as Warner Bros. announces its entire 2021 film slate is heading to HBO Max, including Godzilla vs. Kong. This means fans staying home will be able to watch the film on their TV, while the big screen experience is also available. The monstrous action will be most effective in a theater, but many will be happy to have the option to watch in their living room.

The road to Godzilla vs. Kong has certainly been interesting. The movie has been delayed more than once with very little news to boot. There have been casting reveals, toy leaks, and logos, but very little officially-released material. It's not too surprising. Legendary probably wants to take a different marketing approach after the disappointing box office of Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting marketing as well. Legendary poking fun at the fans wanting the trailer was a humorous move on the company's part, showing it will only release the trailer when the studio feels it's most beneficial. Although not footage, fans can sink their teeth into a new logo.

During HBO Max's big 2021 slate announcement, a new logo for Godzilla vs. Kong was showcased. Perhaps the best part is that the background features both the blue Godzilla: King of the Monsters aesthetic, and the orange Kong: Skull Island aesthetic. Check it out below, along with the rest of HBO's Max's cinematic slate.

The logo does its job at commanding attention with its bold font. The color choices further promise a collision of the Earth's monster kings. Fans have continued to debate which creature will come up on top. Many speculate they will team up to stop another powerful force. Director Adam Wingard did say three years ago one monster will win. Assuming nothing has changed since then, fans can expect a winner between the two title Titans.

Fans will especially be savoring Godzilla vs. Kong if it is the final MonsterVerse movie. Legendary Executive Alex Garcia said in 2019 there could be more films if Godzilla: King of the Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong "turn out really well." For now, the future of the MonsterVerse is up in the air. If Godzilla vs. Kong is the end, hopefully it delivers a monstrous, satisfying end to the storyline. At the very least, Wingard has teased massive creature destruction. In five months, the battle commences.
