The first Funko Pops for Godzilla vs. Kong have been revealed. In 2014, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures started their MonsterVerse in 2014 with Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, leading up to the showdown between the giant lizard and ape. After a few release date delays, Godzilla vs. Kong is finally coming out at the end of March, releasing on HBO Max the same day as its theatrical release.

Merchandise for movies will often spoil certain parts of the movie before it's release, and Godzilla vs. Kong is no exception. So far, there have been a few toy announcements for Godzilla vs. Kong, both of which have revealed some crucial details for the movie. In early 2020, images of Godzilla vs. Kong action figures from a Hong Kong toy fair leaked online that revealed MechaGodzilla would be a part of the film. This seemed to be confirmed when the recent Godzilla vs. Kong trailer was released, which included a MechaGodzilla easter egg. Another set of action figures revealed Kong's new battle-ax, which many believe is made from one of Godzilla's spikes. Now, more toys have been revealed.

IGN recently shared images of the new wave of Godzilla vs. Kong Funko Pops, which were first unveiled at Funko Fair 2021. Funko is releasing several different variations of the monsters, with the line including 10-inch figures, the usual 4.5-inch figures, and also Funko Pop keychains. Images of the new toys can be seen below:

Unlike previous Godzilla vs. Kong toys, these new Funko Pops don't really reveal much about the sequel. That being said, Funko might release more of their vinyl figures after the monster movie is released. MonsterVerse fans would love to get their hands on a MechaGodzilla Funko Pop, but the character may not be fully shown until Godzilla vs. Kong comes out. The two new Titans, Warbat and Nozuki, will also be featured in the movie, but their serpent-like designs may be harder to transform into Funko figures.

Like most big movies, Funko is jumping on the opportunity to create toys for these iconic characters. Toy companies do a great job of producing toys that are aimed at kids and others that are more for adult collectors, but there really isn't an age range on Funko Pops. Whether Godzilla vs. Kong fans go for the 10-inch super-sized Pops or the mini keychains, Funko is giving fans plenty of options to add the King of the Monsters and the Eighth Wonder of the World to their collection.
