Ahead of the release of the blockbuster Godzilla vs. Kong film, Legendary Comics has revealed some brand new cover art for the movie's prequel comics. The new covers, done by legendary comic artist Arthur Adams, features the two legendary monsters in Kingdom Kong, Godzilla Dominion, and Monsterverse Titanatholgy Vol. 1.

Earlier this year, Legendary Comics announced two separate prequel comics for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong that would fill in some of the gaps between the giant's first meeting. The first, Kingdom Kong by Marie Anello and ZID, follows a group of military pilots who make their way to Skull Island as a bat-like Titan named Camazotz attacks. The series will see Kong face the new Titan. Meanwhile, Godzilla Dominion by Greg Reyes, Drew Edward Johnson, and Allen Passalaqua is set right after Godzilla: King of Monsters and will have the iconic kaiju face off against both familiar and new Titans. Both graphic novels will release a day before Godzilla vs. Kong is scheduled to hit HBO Max on March 31, 2021.

This week, Legendary Comics debuts the new covers for the graphic novel prequels. All three covers for the upcoming prequels were done by Eisner Award-winning artist and writer Arthur Adams, best known for his work on the Uncanny X-Men, X-Factor, Fantastic Four, and Longshot. Both images show off the true size of Kong and Godzilla. Kingdom Kong's cover features a battle-damaged Kong standing on Skull Island, looking out in the ocean with a snarl on his face.

Meanwhile, Adams's cover for Godzilla Dominion features the kaiju standing above toppled buildings with destruction, fire, and chaos surrounding the monster. The image showcases just how powerful and strong Godzilla is - as he's destroyed an entire city, most likely after fighting one (or more) of the teased Titans in the graphic novel.

Lastly, the image for Legendary Comics' Monsterverse Titanthology volume one collection features both Kong and Godzilla raging out, screaming as smoke surrounds them. It looks as though the monsters are showing their dominance against one another - but the images are from two separate stories.

With the release of Godzilla vs. Kong it's exciting to see the longtime iconic characters share the spotlight ahead of the film's release. Both characters have storied histories in the films and with these graphic novel prequels, Godzilla and King Kong's upcoming fight and the events leading up to it will be on full display, and you can bet there's going to be some epic battles and destruction in the process.
