In April, Legendary Entertainment dropped a title reveal trailer that gives audiences a glimpse of the new villain, which possibly gave away more than the studios intended. The trailer sees a formidable Titan sitting among bones and other remains with glowing blue eyes. The camera zooms out to reveal the glowing skulls of Kong's ape species and a Godzillasaurus before blasting the film's title across the screen, along with a deafening roar. In the teaser, Godzilla grapples with an ice Titan named Shimo who resembles a dinosaur. The teaser also hypes up the fact that Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire marks the tenth anniversary of the Monsterverse.
