The new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer debuted at CCXP, and a description of the footage is now online. The sequel is the third film in Legendary's MonsterVerse. The first trailer was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, and generated huge buzz for the monster-filled blockbuster.

King of the Monsters will continue to move the MonsterVerse forward, after it began in 2014 with director Gareth Edwards' Godzilla. This sequel once again brings the giant lizard to the forefront, but it'll feature a variety of other creatures that Godzilla will attempt to either defeat or make allies out of. We know that Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra will all be making appearances, with Rodan starring in the most recent viral video for the film. The marketing has yet to show any of the actual monster fights the movie is sure to hold, but that may change soon based on the description of the upcoming trailer.

Collider's Steven Weintraub attended Warner Bros. CCXP panel this weekend, and got to see the new Godzilla: King of the Monsters trailer before it arrives online. His description of the footage teases plenty of the monster battles that many have been waiting to see. It reportedly opens with Millie Bobby Brown calling for help, which has been seen before, and also includes Ken Watanabe discussing whether or not these monsters are here to save humanity.

The description overall is light on specifics, but that should be okay for many as the trailer will arrive very soon online. In the meantime, this at least teases everyone with what scenes we can expect to see. Brown calling for help was one of the earliest pieces of footage from King of the Monsters that arrived, so this particular moment won't be new. But, it does feature the return of Watanabe, who delivered the memorable "Let them fight" line in the marketing for 2014's Godzilla.

Interestingly enough, it would appear that the trailer only continues to tease the fights that will happen between the Titans instead of actually showing them though. Fans of this franchise will get the chance to see for themselves very soon, but this could be a surprising strategy to take. The first trailer didn't provide many clear looks at the other monsters joining Godzilla in the film, and instead elected to largely tease their involvement. With a prime summer release date, selling this movie on the monster fights would seem to be the best bet, but maybe the studios are trying to save those moments in Godzilla: King of the Monsters for theaters.
