A new piece of King Kong and Godzilla art morphs the two creatures into one giant monster. King Kong and Godzilla are often considered two of the most famous movie monsters. King Kong made his debut back in 1933 with Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack's film, while Godzilla came out over 20 years later in 1954. King Kong and Godzilla have been a huge part of American and Japanese pop culture ever since their creation, and the characters are just as popular today.

King Kong has appeared in a handful of movies since the '30s, most notable the original, Peter Jackson's 2005 remake, and 2017's Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla on the other hand has appeared in over 30 films to date thanks to Toho's dedication to the franchise. In 1963 the American and Japanese icons crossed over for the film King Kong vs Godzilla. The film got mixed reviews upon its release, but Warner Bros. is attempting the concept again in 2021 with Godzilla vs Kong. Before fans see the two giant monsters square off again on the big screen, one fan has imagined what they could look like if they were combined into one terrifying creature.

REBOR (via Kaiju News Outlet) recently shared renders of their design for a new Godzilla/King Kong figure. King Kong's features seem to be more dominant in the art, with the giant gorilla having scales and a tail like Godzilla. Images of the figure mock-up can be seen below:

In 1963's King Kong vs. Godzilla, Kong was declared the winner, but it remains to be seen if Godzilla will lose his King of the Monsters title next year. Many kaiju are expected to return in Godzilla vs. Kong, with some theories claiming that Kong and Godzilla might team up to take down a larger threat. While that is certainly possible, it's incredibly unlikely that a combined version of the two characters will ever show up in an American or Japanese produced kaiju movie.

While King Kong is a giant monster, he doesn't really have any powers as Godzilla does. In the last 66 years, Godzilla has revealed a number of powers, with some versions of the character having flight, regeneration, a nuclear pulse, and of course, his iconic atomic breath. In most media, Godzilla is far bigger than King Kong, but they will be around the same size when they square off in Godzilla vs Kong. In fact, the upcoming appearance of King Kong will be the biggest version of the character thus far. While each creature is dangerous enough on their own, combining them could create a truly lethal killing machine.
