God of War Ragnarok is filled with impressive details, and a few eagle-eyed players are now noticing a fun little Easter Egg involving Thor’s missing tooth. At the beginning of God of War Ragnarok, Kratos and Atreus are visited by Thor and Odin, who offer to give the pair sanctuary in Asgard in exchange for helping them reassemble Odin’s mysterious mask and solve the mystery of Ragnarok. Kratos distrusts the two Aesir right off the bat, and a battle soon breaks out between him and Thor.

While God of War Ragnarok’s brutish version of Thor quickly gains the upper hand in his opening fight against Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta does manage to get a good hit in against him - knocking one of Thor’s teeth out in the process. The God of Thunder causally tosses his knocked tooth aside and continues the battle, but according to ComicBook.com some players have managed to find it laying on the snow-covered ground of Midgard. PlayStation news reporter GermanStrands recently shared a video that shows how Ragnarok players can use Photo Mode to find Thor’s discarded tooth. Even Kratos’s voice actor Christopher Judge took notice of this, expressing amazement over how people are still discovering new things about the game.

God of War Ragnarok is a highly detailed game, as players get to explore all Nine Realms of Norse mythology on a quest to save the world from total destruction. Along this path, fans have uncovered amusing little secrets, such as God of War Ragnarok’s Odin disguising himself as a dwarf to spy on Kratos and Atreus in one of the game’s earlier scenes. The development team at Sony Santa Monica has spoken at length about the work that went into crafting locations like God of War Ragnarok’s beautiful realm of Vanaheim both before and after the game launched on PlayStation consoles in early November.

This recent discovery of Thor’s missing tooth littering Midgard is a testament to Sony Santa Monica’s attention to detail while crafting God of War Ragnarok's vast and beautiful world. The developers could have easily omitted the fallen tooth under the justification of it being covered in snow, but instead, the team went to the extra length of actually rendering it on the ground even though most players wouldn't think to look for it. The players that did now have an interesting fact to show off on social media, even gaining the attention of Kratos's God of War Ragnarok voice actor in the process.

Eagle-eyed fans will likely uncover more impressive details in God of War Ragnarok now that the popular Photo Mode from the previous game has been added. In the meantime, one can only wonder what ultimately became of Thor's fallen tooth. Perhaps it was uncovered by a traveling Midgardian or simply left to lay on the ground as a reminder of God of War Ragnarok’s intense opening battle between the Gods of Thunder and War.
