A replica of the Leviathan Axe from God of War (2018) features glowing runes and is available to purchase on Etsy. Kratos' Leviathan Axe served as the character's main weapon throughout much of the 2018 adventure. While some longtime fans expressed skepticism about the new arrival in Kratos' arsenal ahead of launch, it quickly became a favorite once players were able to go hands-on with the experience.

The Leviathan Axe previously belonged to Faye, Kratos' wife in the Norse world who bears quite an interesting backstory. As a weapon created by the same dwarves responsible for Mjölnir, the hammer Thor wields, Leviathan is far more than the average axe. It boasts ice powers, for instance, allowing Kratos to freeze enemies to his heart's content. And like Mjölnir, the finely crafted axe also returns to its owner when called upon with the mere raise of a hand. Many talented fans have created Leviathan Axe replicas, complete with the intricate carving and glowing runes. Now someone selling similar replicas via an online shop.

Yesterday, December 23, Reddit user Dragon_Tiger752 shared photos of their newly acquired Leviathan Axe replica. The Redditor told curious commenters they purchased the item on Etsy through 1930Studio, which also handcrafts Marvel-inspired designs such as Mjölnir. 1930Studio's Leviathan Axe is currently in stock for a sale price of $564, though it usually costs a hair over $700. According to Dragon_Tiger752, the product is worth the high price tag. The Axe weighs roughly 16 pounds, with a head made of real steel. Akin to its in-game counterpart, the 1930Studio-created build actually boasts glowing runes. Get a closer look at the design in the following post:

The Leviathan Axe's in-universe creators, Brok and Sindri, would no doubt be impressed by the craftsmanship on display since 1930Studio's replica is nearly indiscernible from the weapon Kratos wields throughout the 2018 adventure. It may cost quite the pretty penny, yet this counts as one collectible item many God of War faithful may want to add to their collections.

Kratos will take hold of the Leviathan Axe once more when the sequel arrives on PS4 and PS5 sometime next year. Titled God of War: Ragnarök, the follow-up entry should see Kratos and Atreus come face-to-face with some of their most formidable foes yet. Plus, the first gameplay trailer hinted that Thor may enter the mix in a big way, too.
