An impressive homemade God of War cosplay recreates Kratos, the immortal Ghost of Sparta, and his unstoppable Spartan Rage. The mythological action saga sees the ruthless Spartan general become the Greek God of War, while his latest adventure takes him through the world of Norse mythology alongside his young son Atreus. While some cosplayers try to capture the strength of Kratos, like one God of War cosplay by a bodybuilder, the latest fan recreation instead captures the warrior's untamed rage.

2018's God of War served as a fresh start for the blood-soaked action franchise, taking Kratos to an entirely new world of ancient belief and adopting a more somber tone. Norse mythology presents an entirely new set of challenges for the Ghost of Sparta to face, and a strained relationship with his son Atreus is perhaps the greatest obstacle on his journey. A beloved cast of supporting characters, including decapitated wiseman Mimir and blacksmith brothers Brok and Sindri, also helps to round out the experience and ring in a new God of War era. Fan creations, like a cosplay of God of War's Valkyries, bring the unforgiving world of Norse mythology to life while fans wait for the launch of God of War Ragnarök.

Reddit user Damien_tout_court has successfully transformed themselves into Kratos using a homemade cosplay and some rageful energy. The cosplayer perfectly recreates the warrior wardrobe worn by Kratos in 2018's God of War, including the powerful Blades of Chaos and the handheld Bifrost. The character's iconic red tattoo is present, with Damien_tout_court's remarkable beard and physique transforming them into the spitting image of Kratos. The Spartan Rage ability is one of God of War's most useful combat tools, and the cosplay perfectly conveys that fiery energy.

While cosplayers pay tribute to 2018's God of War, many fans continue looking forward to the release of God of War Ragnarök. Little news has been released about the highly-anticipated sequel recently, though insiders claim that God of War Ragnarök will release in 2022 despite rumors of a delay. The upcoming sequel is set to conclude the series' Norse era, with the titular event bringing an end to the story that kicked off in 2018. Kratos and Atreus will apparently search for Tyr, the Norse God of War, with the game's sole trailer teasing battles against Thor, Freya and more.

Fast-paced action and an emotional storyline have made God of War a staple of the PlayStation Studios lineup. The game successfully reinvented Kratos into a more three-dimensional protagonist, and Damien_tout_court's cosplay perfectly captures the character's appearance and emotion. The extremely accurate homemade attire is enough to make any god, Greek or Norse, flee for their life.
