Though the title of the movie might sound like a bit of a bore, this story of the early days of some big political players could be really compelling. College Republicans is set in the summer of 1973 as a young Karl Rove and his campaign manager Lee Atwater attempt to win the election for the chairmanship of the national College Republicans club by any means necessary.

Asa Butterfield and Logan Lerman are attached to plays Rove and Atwater, respectively. The story is also said to include future big-name Republicans like Roger Stone and Jeff Sessions in their younger years. It could end up being quite a timely story.

The Greatest Beer Run Ever

After his Oscar-winning yet divisive film Green Book, which is also based on a true story, Peter Farrelly continues to step away from his old comedy roots with more dramatic films. The Greatest Beer Run Ever follows John “Chickie” Donohue, a young man who traveled from New York to Vietnam to share a beer with his friends who were serving in the army.

This is the kind of story that would be too outlandish if someone just made it up. The fact that it is true makes it an instantly thrilling story with the potential to be a very unique take on a Vietnam movie.

Enzo Ferrari, the man behind the world-famous car company, was featured briefly yet memorably in Ford v Ferrari. However, the man will soon get his own film to explore his amazing life with some really talented folks involved.

Michael Mann has been developing this biopic for several years, and now Hugh Jackman looks to be stepping into the main role. The film is said to explore Ferrari's participation in the brutal 1957 Mille Miglia while his personal and professional life crumbles around him.

After wowing the world with her jaw-dropping acting talents in A Star is Born, Lady Gaga is set to return to the big screen in another high-profile role. Ridley Scott is set to direct Gucci, which will tell the story of the murder of fashion icon Maurizio Gucci.

Aaron Sorkin will be writing and directing the film and the star-studded cast includes Sacha Baron Cohen, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt among many others. Sorkin's dialogue is always a treat to listen to and the courtroom drama aspect is immediately intriguing.

Few directors inspire so much excitement with their projects as David Fincher. He is responsible for some truly iconic films, but in Mank he will be tackling the behind-the-scenes drama of perhaps the most acclaimed movie of all time.

Gary Oldman will star in the film as Herman J. Mankiewicz, a man who battled with Orson Welles over the writing credit on Citizen Kane. The film is reportedly shot in black-and-white and will be released on Netflix this fall.

After charming audiences as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the MCU, Tom Holland is ready to tackle a more dramatic and darker role. In Cherry, Holland will reunite with the Russo Brothers for the story of Nico Walker, an Army medic living with PTSD. When he becomes addicted to opioids he begins robbing banks to pay for his addiction.

Walker's story is a fast-paced and intense crime epic that will give Holland a chance to show the heights of his talents. It will also be great to see what the Russos do with a much smaller and dramatic story.

After the trailer for Judas and the Black Messiah recently debuted online, the film became hugely anticipated by many. Daniel Kaluuya will star in the drama as Fred Hampton, the highly influential chairman of the Illinois Black Panther Party. Lakeith Stanfield will co-star as William O'Neal, the FBI informant who betrayed Hampton.

The movie looks to be an intense and powerful period drama with ties to many important and timely issues. Kaluuya and Stanfield are two of the best young actors working today and it will be exciting to see them share the screen again.

The Killers Of The Flower Moon

Anytime Martin Scorsese announces a new project, all movie fans take notice. The Killers of the Flower Moon has been on Scorsese's slate for a while, but it finally looks ready to go in front of cameras.

The film is based on the true-crime novel of the same name which explored the incredible Native American community in the Osage region that became extremely rich after oil was discovered on their land. Their fortune soon made them the target of greedy people, and members of the community began dying in large numbers. Scorsese is said to be adapting the story into a $200 million Western with his favorite actors, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, reportedly involved.
