Gilmore Girls has seven seasons, 153 episodes, and one reboot (Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life) to its name. And while fans find it hard to pick things they loathe about their favorite show, there are episodes that aren't as favorable as others.

According to Reddit, fans found themselves hating the episodes where Lorelai and Rory were feuding and loving the early seasons before Rory went to Yale. Even if the episodes themselves are important for the series' future, there are different aspects of these episodes that make them less than stellar for some viewers.

'Vineyard Valentine'

In season 6's episode 'Vineyard Valentine,' Logan and Rory invite Lorelai and Luke to the Huntzberger's home in Martha's Vineyard. Lorelai was excited to be by the sea but Luke hated everything about it.

Even odder, Logan and Rory were basically playing house and were acting like an old married couple while hosting. Everything about Luke's sour attitude ruined the episode for fans, as did Logan and Rory's sudden love of exercising...

'Here Comes The Son'

One of the saddest moments for Jess was when he met his dad for the first time at Luke's without realizing it was him. Knowing he wasn't welcomed in Stars Hollow, Jess took a bus and headed to California to rekindle a relationship with his dad after finding out his dad was looking for him.

However, fans didn't love the strange adventure Jess was on when he found his dad's house and met his girlfriend, Sasha. Sasha put Jess through a very long and irritating riddle before letting him in her home, her daughter was hiding in a closet reading, and the overall atmosphere was uncomfortable since Jimmy didn't want Jess staying with him. The entire scenario was not well-received.

'Teach Me Tonight'

Lorelai watches Rory's car be taken away on Gilmore Girls

In season 2's episode 'Teach Me Tonight,' Lorelai was shocked to the core when she found out Jess and Rory got in a car accident. Considering Lorelai wasn't fond of Jess, she blamed the entire accident on him. After seeing Rory in a cast, she sprinted to Luke's where she argued with him, judged his parenting skills, and wanted Jess gone.

This episode showcased Jess and Rory's bond well but it was also a breaking point in Lorelai and Luke's relationship. Some fans hated the way Lorelai reacted, especially since Rory told her it wasn't Jess's fault.

'Take The Deviled Eggs'

Sherry and Lorelai at the baby shower on Gilmore Girls

Fans didn't think Christopher could get worse until he ditched Lorelai and Rory yet again when he found out his ex-girlfriend Sherry was pregnant. To make matters worse, Sherry wanted Lorelai and Rory in her life now that she was carrying Rory's sibling.

Lorelai never planned on going to Sherry's baby shower but she felt like she had no choice when Sherry practically insisted upon it. The shower was completely uncomfortable for the Gilmores, especially Lorelai, who snooped through Sherry's things. Things got worse when Rory and Gilmore took hardboiled eggs from the shower and bombed Jess's car with them. Fans didn't jive with the characterizations in this episode.

'Lorelai's Graduation Day'

It's hard to imagine where Lorelai would be today if she didn't go back to school, get her degree, and start her own inn. So much confidence was garnered when she got her degree.

Sadly, this big moment of hers was overshadowed when Rory skipped school to spend the day with Jess in New York City. This meant that she missed one of the biggest days in her mom's life. It was hard for Lorelai to be proud when her daughter wasn't there to cheer her on. This was a heartbreaking episode for fans to watch.

'That's What You Get, Folks, for Makin' Whoopee'

Lane and Rory lying on the bed on Gilmore Girls

When Rory dropped out of Yale, her relationship with Lane suffered. The two caught up before Sookie's kids' christening and it was like Rory and Lane weren't even friends. Their friendship got back on track when Lane and Zack got married, and her support was imperative for Lane because she soon found herself pregnant.

Fans were disappointed in Lane's storyline, overall. One fan noted that this storyline created a kind of strange, morality tale situation that could have been handled better.

'Raincoats And Recipes'

Rory and Dean in bed in Gilmore Girls

'Raincoats And Recipes' was a huge episode for Lorelai. She had the opening night of the Dragonfly Inn and she kissed Luke for the first time! The night was big for Rory too but for the wrong reasons. Rory and Dean slept with each other, although Dean was married.

It was one of Dean's worst moments and fans didn't love this twist to the story. The whole situation was awkward.

'A-Tisket, A-Tasket'

Jackson and Sookie enjoying her homemade picnic lunch in Gilmore Girls

As monumental as 'A-Tisket, A-Tasket' was for Sookie and Jackson, fans didn't like that Jackson's proposal came from an argument.

The two started on a bad note when they got into an argument over living together. They were both ready to move in together but both went about it in different ways. After realizing they both loved each other and were ready to move in together, Jackson told her he was ready to get married. Considering how important Sookie was to the series, this proposal wasn't what they wished for her.

'Partings'

Lorelai breaks up with Luke on the street in Gilmore Girls

'Partings' had one of the most devastating moments in Lorelai and Luke's relationship timeline. After a rocky engagement, Lorelai was tired of Luke pushing her aside for April and wanted to get married. Instead of communicating her thoughts, Lorelai kept her fears tucked inside until she exploded.

She gave Luke an ultimatum: either they get married right there and then or they were done. Luke hated being put in such a situation, so Lorelai broke up with him and left. Instead of going home, she went to the one person that put the nail in the coffin: Christopher's. Reddit was frustrated by the miscommunications that happened on both ends.

'Ted Koppel's Big Night Out'

Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelai and Jason are on their first date

Reddit was excited when Lorelai took Jason up on his offer for dinner. Jason wanted to impress Lorelai and took her to one of the most sought-after restaurants and rented a private room for the two of them.

Lorelai, however, hated the fact that they were in their own room and wanted to be where the action was. She made things so uncomfortable that the two left early. What followed were awkward moments that ended in grocery shopping for snacks. It felt out of character for these charismatic characters.
