Logan: Proposing To Rory After Yale Graduation
While Gilmore Girls fans love Logan, he doesn't prove that he knows her very well when he asks her to marry him once she's graduated from Yale. Logan figures that they're grown up now and can look to the future, but if he stopped to ask himself if Rory would really agree, he might realize that Rory wants to wait before making such a huge choice.
This isn't the absolute worst decision made on the series, as Logan and Rory don't seem to be totally right for each other and they seem content and at peace to say goodbye and move on. But it's still a bad decision on Logan's part and something that he could have thought through more clearly and carefully.
Jess: Leaving Stars Hollow Without Letting Rory Know
Jess loses a lot of goodwill with viewers when he moves away from Stars Hollow and doesn't update Rory on his life plans. He doesn't even break up with her, and in a scene that is awkward and hard to watch, he phones Rory at her Chilton graduation but can't find any words to say to her.
In the grand scheme of Jess and Rory's love lives, this might seem like a small moment as they're both just finishing up high school and they have their whole lives ahead of them. It's still a shame that Jess behaves this way, though.
Luke: Marrying Nicole
Instead of being happy that Luke seems content to date and then marry Nicole, fans wish that he would wait for Lorelai or finally confess that he loves her. Luke's choice to get married is odd as he has never even really expressed wanting that kind of commitment before.
Luke and Nicole realize that they're wrong for each other pretty fast, so this isn't going to ruin Luke's life forever. But it's definitely too bad that they commit to each other in the first place since it's clear it might not last.
Sookie: Not Adapting Her Job At The Dragonfly Inn
When watching the Netflix revival A Year In The Life, viewers are stunned by Sookie quitting her job as head chef at the Dragonfly Inn. She doesn't tell Lorelai the honest truth and keeps delaying the real and serious conversation that they have to have.
This is a terrible thing for Sookie to do as she can't guarantee that she'll be able to run a kitchen somewhere else and she has full control of the creativity of the job. It seems strange that she wouldn't find a way to make it work. In the scheme of Gilmore Girls characters making big decisions, Sookie can find another job or another path, but this still seems strange.
Dean: Having An Affair With Rory While Married To Lindsay
Gilmore Girls fans love Rory and Dean, which is why it's gut-wrenching when Dean and Rory sleep together when he hasn't divorced Lindsay.

Paris is living the good life in A Year In The Life, running her own fertility clinic and generally a huge success, except for the imposter syndrome that she shares that she feels. She and Doyle are also ending their marriage, which is not only sad to learn about but also a confusing choice.
It doesn't feel like Paris and Doyle have thought long and hard about what this decision will actually mean, and it seems like they take it pretty lightly. Fans wish that they would communicate with each other and try to work it out instead of just ignoring each other.
Lane: Staying In Stars Hollow And Running Her Mom's Antique Store
Some fans support Lane and Zack's relationship fully while others wish that the couple would leave Stars Hollow and live in a cooler, more music-friendly place. It's definitely shocking to learn that Lane is still in her hometown running the antique shop that has been in her family for a long time.
This is a significant decision, as it affects Lane's future as well as her present happiness, and it seems like she's simply going through the motions instead of thinking about what will bring her peace and joy.
Emily: Judging Lorelai For Her Life Choices
Emily and Lorelai make parenting mistakes, but Emily behaves really badly when she constantly thinks that Lorelai is going in a completely wrong direction.
