Gilmore Girls aired for seven seasons on The WB and The CW. The series is a multigenerational comedy-drama centering around the Gilmore family, primarily around mother/daughter duo, Rory and Lorelai. They live in the somewhat eccentric small town of Stars Hollow. Gilmore Girls established a reputation for its strange (but lovable) side characters, its pop culture references, and its snappy fast-paced dialogue.

Even though Rory and Lorelai are the main characters, the large supporting cast is what helped make the series work for as long as it did. And it was popular enough to get a Netflix revival series a couple of years ago to continue the story. Let's take a look at where the cast of Gilmore Girls is today.

Milo Ventimiglia as Jess Mariano

As far as Rory's love interests go, Jess was on the show for the shortest amount of time, but he still left a big impact on the series. Even after leaving the series at the end of the third season, Ventimiglia returned several times throughout the remainder of the series. He also returned for the revival. Since Gilmore Girls, Ventimiglia has had a steady career. He was cast in the leading role on NBC superhero drama, Heroes.

He's had several voice acting roles, primarily in Marvel cartoons. But his biggest role is easily his current one: the actor plays Jack Pearson on NBC's smash hit drama series, This Is Us. He also starred in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of The Art of Racing in the Rain, and will play legendary daredevil Evel Knievel in the USA Network limited series Evel.

Matt Czuchry as Logan Huntzberger

While Dean was Rory's first boyfriend, Logan Huntzberger is the most recent one. Rory meets Logan in college and they have an intense relationship, almost culminating in marriage. Logan and Rory get back together in the revival series and Logan could potentially be the father of Rory's unborn baby.

After the series ended, Matt Czuchry was cast as a series regular on the critically acclaimed CBS drama, The Good Wife. The series ran from 2009 to 2016. Once The Good Wife ended, Czuchry moved to a different network. He was cast in the Fox medical drama, The Resident, in the leading role of Conrad Hawkins.

 Jared Padalecki as Dean Forester

Throughout all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls, Rory Gilmore has several different boyfriends. To this day, fans of the show are still debating who the best guy was for Rory. Dean Forester, played by Jared Padalecki, was Rory's first boyfriend and her first love.

They dated throughout the majority of the first three seasons and then they had an affair once Dean was married in season four. As for Padalecki, he left Gilmore Girls to star in another successful television show on the same network. Padalecki has been playing Sam Winchester on the CW series, Supernatural, for over a decade. The series has been renewed for a fifteenth and final season. After it ends, Padalecki will play the lead on The CW's reboot of Walker, Texas Ranger.

Liza Weil as Paris Geller

Love her or hate her, Paris Geller is a memorable part of Gilmore Girls and one of Rory's oldest friends. Liza Weil played the neurotic and blunt perfectionist in all seven seasons of the series, plus the revival. In her post-Gilmore Girls career, Weil moved on to Shondland, beginning with a guest starring role on Grey's Anatomy and then a recurring role on Scandal.

She is currently starring in the ABC series, How to Get Away With Murder, as Bonnie Winterbottom. In addition to her television role, Liza Weil has three films in the works: Gilpin, Medicine Man, and Women Is Losers.

Melissa McCarthy as Sookie St. James

Out of everyone in the Gilmore Girls cast, Melissa McCarthy is the most notable and successful. She played Lorelai's loyal and loopy best friend, Sookie, a passionate and talented chef. Since Gilmore Girls, McCarthy's star power has skyrocketed to the A-list. She is an Academy Award-nominated actress, has won an Emmy Award, and has been nominated for multiple Golden Globes.

Her big breakout into the film world came with the female comedy Bridesmaids. Since then, McCarthy has starred in numerous films including Spy, Identity Theft, Life of the Party, and Can You Ever Forgive Me?. Most recently, McCarthy starred in the crime drama The Kitchen alongside Tiffany Haddish and Elisabeth Moss. McCarthy's next major role will come playing Ursula the Sea Witch in Disney+'s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.

Kelly Bishop as Emily Gilmore

Acclaimed actress, Kelly Bishop, played the sometimes antagonistic role of Emily Gilmore, mother to Lorelai Gilmore. She and Lorelai have a complicated relationship that develops over the course of the series. Of course, Bishop is best known for originating the role of Sheila in the Broadway musical, A Chorus Line, for which she won a Tony Award.

After leaving Gilmore Girls, she landed a starring role on Bunheads, the short, but beloved, comedy-drama series on ABC. It was created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, who also created Gilmore Girls. Bishop also guest-starred in a few episodes of The Good Wife before returning for the Gilmore Girls revival. Next, she will star in a TV movie called Art of Falling in Love.

Scott Patterson as Luke Danes

Scott Patterson played Luke Danes, owner of Luke's Diner and Lorelai Gilmore's soulmate, even if it took them a while to figure it out. In a post-Gilmore Girls world, Patterson has been more selective with his projects. His most recent films include Yellow Fever and voicing James Gordon in the DC animated film, Batman: Gotham by Gaslight.

He has three movies lined up which are currently in production. First is a sci-fi thriller called Liberty, then he'll star in a sports drama film called The Sons of Summer. He will also star in a military thriller called The Rogue. Patterson played the role of Agent Strahm in the torture horror movies, Saw IV, Saw V and Saw VI. Sadly, it's unlikely he'll return for the upcoming reboot Spiral: The Book of Saw, since his character was previously killed off.

Keiko Agena as Lane Kim

Keiko Agena played the lovable rock star, Lane Kim, best friend to Rory Gilmore, on Gilmore Girls for all seven seasons. She also turned for the Netflix revival. Since leaving the show, Agena hasn't had much luck with landing another lead role on a television series but she has recurred on several successful series such as Bravo's Dirty John, AMC's Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul (which she returned to in 2020), and Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.

She was a series regular on last year's Hulu series, The First, but it was canceled after one season. Most recently, she became a series regular on the FOX crime drama series, Prodigal Son, which cast her opposite former The Walking Dead star Tom Payne. The show has been pretty successful, and looks likely to receive a season 2 renewal.

Alexis Bledel as Rory Gilmore

Rory Gilmore is the apple of Lorelai's eye. The two are best friends and they remain one of the most iconic mother-daughter duos of all time. Growing up in Stars Hollow, Rory quickly became the golden child of town and her grandparents feel the same way. Alexis Bledel's biggest claim to fame is her role as Rory but she's been doing quite well for herself since leaving the series.

She has starred in both  Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants films as Lena, and she is set to return for the third film, which is said to be on the go. Most notably, Bledel went on to win an Emmy Award for her role on Hulu's acclaimed series, The Handmaid's Tale.

Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore

As the mother to Rory Gilmore, Lorelai is one of the most beloved characters from Gilmore Girls. Her fast-talking, coffee-loving, inn-running ways have made her a television icon. After the first seven seasons of Gilmore Girls wrapped, Graham continued on a successful streak and landed another leading role on the NBC drama, Parenthood, which lasted for six seasons.

She also returned for the revival Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life on Netflix. Most recently, she has voiced a character on the Disney Junior animated series Vampirina, co-starred as Zoey's boss Joan on the NBC sitcom Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and will also play a leading role on Disney+'s upcoming TV series sequel to The Mighty Ducks movie franchise, which will also include original star Emilio Estevez. Graham is also a published author and is in a long-term relationship with her Parenthood co-star, Peter Krause.
