After seven seasons and a reboot, Gilmore Girls fans felt connected to Stars Hollow and the unique set of characters that called it home. Watching Lorelai and Rory demand coffee at Luke's or seeing Lane drum in the dark at Sophie's Music made the series special.

It's been over 20 years since Gilmore Girls began. The stars of the show have gone on to create incredible careers for themselves, including landing movie deals. Diehard fans don't have to rewatch the series on streaming devices just to get their fill of Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, and the rest of Stars Hollow. They can watch them on the big screen in new, iconic roles.

Lauren Graham

Lauren Graham played Lorelai Gilmore — everyone's favorite single mom. She was more of a best friend to her daughter Rory than the average Stars Hollow mom. After getting pregnant at a young age, Lorelai had to fend for herself and create a new life for her and her daughter. And luckily for her, it worked out for the best.

If fans loved the way Graham played Lorelai, she's been in a ton of star-studded shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Parenthood. But when it comes to movies, Graham has been in Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, Evan Almighty, and Because I Said So, just to name a few.

Melissa McCarthy

Melissa McCarthy portrayed Lorelai Gilmore's best friend, Sookie St. James. She was the executive chef at the Dragonfly Inn and the light of the room. She was one of the people Lorelai would listen to and take her advice to heart. There was nothing Sookie could do that could offend Lorelai. Their friendship was one of the best on the show.

Since Gilmore Girls, Melissa McCarthy's career took off. She starred in TV series like Samantha Who? and Mike & Molly, but she also hit the big screen. She was hilarious in Bridesmaids, tough as nails in Ghostbusters, and raw in Tammy.

Scott Patterson

Scott Patterson played the perfect Luke Danes. He was snappy, to himself, and a hometown kind of guy. As much as he yelled at his guests and the patrons of Stars Hollow, Luke loved their small town. People called him a hermit for not getting out and doing more but Luke was satisfied. He became even more comfortable when he began dating Lorelai. Life was good for them for a while.

After Gilmore Girls, Scott's first movie was Agent Peter Strahm in Saw IV. After the movie's success, he came back for its sequels,  Saw V and Saw VI. In 2018, he starred alongside Mark Hamill in Con Man.

Yanic Truesdale

Yanic Truesdale played Lorelai's dedicated friend and employee, Michel. As much as it pained her to say it (because of their differences), Michel was as close to her as a best friend would be. They grew up together and expanded their careers as a unit. His no-nonsense attitude and pristine accent made him a fun character to watch on Gilmore Girls. But since then, Truesdale hasn't been in too many movies but he has been in plenty of TV shows. He starred as Andy in the TV holiday movie, A Christmas Exchange. He also played Officer Paul in the TV movie, Love By Accident.

Alexis Bledel

Alexis Bledel played everyone's favorite Yale graduate, Rory Gilmore. Rory grew up on screen and went through the average ups and downs teenagers face when they're that age. From breakups to arguments with friends to college indecisions, Rory took viewers along with her on her way to adulthood. The Gilmore Girls reboot was a fun way for fans to see where Rory was since the show wrapped.

Likewise, Alexis Bledel also went on to bigger things since Gilmore Girls ended. On TV, she was apart of Mad Men and The Handmaid's Tale. She even won an Emmy for her role in The Handmaid's Tale! She also appeared in movies like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Parts Per Billion, and Post Grad.

Keiko Agena

No one could have played Rory's best friend like Keiko Agena. She did such an outstanding job as Lane Kim and made viewers root for her. She grew up in a religious household with a strict mother who didn't let her make her own choices. Eventually, Lane had to break free from the chains and explore who she really was. Lane was an underrated character by a longshot.

When Gilmore Girls ended, Agena did some amazing things with 13 Reasons Why and Better Call Saul. She was also apart of The Never List and The Night is Young but it appears that Agena likes TV better than film based on her resume.

Sean Gunn

Sean Gunn in avengers and gilmore girls

Sean Gunn played Kirk; the town's oddball. He was seemingly everywhere and worked every job Stars Hollow had to offer. He even created a few of his own businesses down the line as well. He used to have a crush on Lorelai but they both knew a romantic relationship was never going to work between them. They were strictly friends.

After filming for Gilmore Girls ended, Gunn jumped into various projects. In 2014, he landed the role of Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy. This helped him grab a spot in Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, The Suicide Squad, and more.

Liza Well

Liza Well was iconic as Paris Geller. Paris started the series as Rory's biggest competition and enemy at Chilton but later became the best friend she didn't know she had. Paris was ruthless and determined. She was unlike anyone else in the show; a complete individual.

Liza Well carried the same intensity to other projects she's had since Gilmore Girls. Fans spotted her immediately in How to Get Away with Murder, but she's also been in The Black Emperor of Broadway and After Life.

Kelly Bishop

Kelly Bishop is a true Hollywood legend. Her role of Emily Gilmore was completely fitting for the queen. Emily was sharp-tongued and brutally honest. She expected class and dignity and hated anything less. Her relationship with Lorelai and Rory was an on-going storyline in the series, as was her time with her husband, Richard.

Bishop has been in the acting circle since the '60s and has been in unbelievable movies like Dirty Dancing and The Salzburg Story. On TV, fans can catch her on The Good Wife and Bunheads!

Edward Herrmann

Richard Gilmore was the patriarch of the Gilmore family. He had a successful career, all the money a man could want, and a wife who dotted on him. Richard was living the good life. His relationship with his daughter, however, was not so good. Richard had a tendency to be close-minded and not understanding when it came to Lorelai but he did love his granddaughter Rory.

Sadly, Edward Herrmann passed away in 2014. His last movie was 2015's, Coach of the Year and 2014's The Town That Dreaded Sundown. And just like his TV wife, Kelly Bishop, Herrmann was also in The Good Wife and countless other TV roles that only added to his genius.
