Giancarlo Esposito might be best known for Breaking Bad but he's amassed nearly 200 other acting credits. Giancarlo Esposito has been acting since the late 1970s, and early credits include small roles in the likes of Taps, Trading Places and Francis Ford Coppola's period drama The Cotton Club. He played camp counselor Mickey in a few episodes of Sesame Street, in addition to playing various roles in classic cop series Miami Vice.

Much of Giancarlo Esposito's career would be spent jumping back and forth between movie and television work. After assorted roles in the late 1980s like Stephen King's first - and only - directorial effort Maximum Overdrive and an episode of The Equalizer, the actor began a fruitful creative collaboration with director Spike Lee. Esposito appeared in 1988's School Daze, followed by a memorable supporting turn as Buggin' Out in Do The Right Thing, and continuing for Lee's Mo' Better Blues and Malcolm X. He reteamed with Miami Vice's Don Johnson for action film Harley Davidson And The Marlboro Man in 1991.

The 1990s featured an eclectic body of work from Giancarlo Esposito, including a lead role in short-lived sitcom Bakersfield P.D. Other highlights include dark drama Fresh, 1995's Oscar-winning The Usual Suspects, indie drama Smoke and gritty cop series Homicide: Life On The Street. He played a key supporting role in 1998's Creature, a miniseries based on the book from Jaws author Peter Benchley and worked with Don Johnson once again for Nash Bridges.

The 2000s was another wild assortment of projects for Giancarlo Esposito, including a role in Will Smith's Ali, horror TV movie Chupacabra Terror, a recurring role on Law & Order and it's spinoff Trial By Jury and STV prequel Carlito's Way: Rise To Power. After more parts on shows like Lie To Me and Leverage, he landed the breakthrough role of Gus Fring in Breaking Bad. Esposito's fantastic turn as Walt's steely nemesis made him the show's most memorable villain, and the actor would later return for prequel Better Call Saul.

The acclaim that greeted his work in Breaking Bad led to a sharp upswing in high-profile roles for Giancarlo Esposito. He played another villain in TV series Revolution, played supporting roles in blockbusters Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure and TV show Once Upon A Time, in addition to voicing Ra's al Ghul in STV movie Son Of Batman. The last few years have been an embarrassment of riches, including Netflix's Dear White People, The Boys, voicing Lex Luthor in Harley Quinn and playing Moff Gideon in Disney+ show The Mandalorian. Giancarlo Esposito is also a director, having helmed 2008's Gospel Hill and 2017's Reality TV satire The Show.
