Sucker Punch Productions has confirmed that a new patch is available for Ghost of Tsushima, which fixes a number of issues with loot drops for The Tale of Iyo raid and other story missions. However, unlike previous updates to the action-adventure game, this latest one will not add any new content to the game. That means players will get no extra gameplay mechanics or missions as was the case with the version 1.1 update, which allowed players to recruit dogs as allies.

The developer has kept Ghost of Tsushima stocked with a series of post-launch updates over the last few months. The biggest addition to the game since its release in July has been Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. This essentially acts as a New Game+ mode alongside introducing a series of two- and four-player missions for users to tackle with friends. The first raid challenge was The Tale of Iyo, which was added to the title at the end of October. The difficult raid stretches across three chapters and requires high-level gear to complete.

A new update for Ghost of Tsushima has launched, although it does not add any new content to the game. Instead, the latest patch aims to fix a series of bugs in the game as well as solve a loot drop issue for a particular raid. Lauded developer Sucker Punch Productions gave some details of what the update includes in a new tweet. According to the studio, gear drops in the Nightmare Story missions have been rebalanced while loot drops have also been fixed for The Tale of Iyo raid. Players should also notice fewer disconnects when playing Ghost of Tsushima thanks to a number of improvements introduced in the patch.

While Sucker Punch Studios continues to work on Ghost of Tsushima, there have been some reports that the studio could be working on a sequel to the hit PlayStation 4 game. A job posting on the developer's official site for a narrative writer included details about creating stories about feudal Japan, suggesting that early development for a second entry in the series could already be in production.

Ghost of Tsushima was undoubtedly one of the biggest launches of the year and was widely praised. That success made it an easy decision for Sucker Punch Productions to continue releasing new content and updates for the game to help maintain a strong player base. Although some fans might be disappointed to not be getting anything meaningful in the latest patch, fixing loot drop issues with The Tale of Iyo raid will certainly make it more rewarding to completing the three-part challenge.
