Ubisoft has unveiled a new live action trailer starring rapper Lil Wayne ahead of their upcoming game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. A previous live action trailer featured actor Jon Bernthal from The Walking Dead as the game's villain, Cole D. Walker, and Ubisoft Paris has hinted strongly that they are hoping to revolutionize the tactical shooter genre with Ghost Recon Breakpoint's gameplay.

Taking place directly after the events of the Ghost Recon Wildlands DLC missions and releasing this October 4th, Breakpoint's story sees players assuming the role of Lieutenant Colonel Anthony "Nomad" Perryman as they investigate a series of problems related to Skell Technology, a military hardware blue chip company first appearing in Wildlands. Like the previous entry in the seriesGhost Recon Breakpoint is set in a open world environment, but instead of Bolivia this time around players will be exploring the fictional Pacific island of Auroa.

Directed by David Leitch, known for recent films Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Deadpool 2, the live action trailer for Ghost Recon Breakpoint stars Lil Wayne as one of the worst teammates imaginable. Titled "Squad Up ft. Lil Wayne," the video jumps back and forth between re-enacted scenes of cooperative gameplay and players sitting on couches in their respective homes, showing off the juxtaposition of the character's actions and also the inter-connectivity of the players and the game. This becomes increasingly apparent as Lil Wayne is repeatedly interrupted by telephone calls in real life which cause him to put his controller down and step away from the game, demonstrated by his character standing stock still while repeating whatever noises come through Lil Wayne's headset.

A creative representation of what it feels like when a teammate lets you down, the Breakpoint live action trailer above also shows off some of the game's features such as drone attacks, multiple types of vehicles, and, of course, lots of 4v4 combat. While having attracted some ire from fans by revealing Ghost Recon Breakpoint to be online-only, many are still looking forward to the game's upcoming release, which will be preceded by a free open beta for PS4, Xbox One, and PC players running from September 26th to the 30th.

Everyone who has had any kind of experience with multiplayer shooters has played with someone like the character Lil Wayne depicts in this Ghost Recon Breakpoint trailer. While it may not be the most flattering way to demonstrate cooperative gameplay, it certainly is one of the most honest. Even if the group lost, after all, it'd still be pretty cool to get to play a match with Snoop Dogg.
