The Ghost of Tsushima bathhouse scene has recently taken the internet by storm as the player-character, Jin Sakai, completely undresses revealing his tushy-ma, and the scene is even funnier when watching Sakai's voice actor react to seeing his own butt in-game. Daisuke Tsuji is not only the voice actor for the leading role in Ghost of Tsushima, but Sakai is also modeled after Tsuji's own physique.
Ghost of Tsushima was released for PlayStation 4 on July 17 and has quickly been hailed as one of the greatest games to be released this year. The story follows Sakai, a samurai who breaks from tradition to defend his homeland in feudal Japan in the year 1274. Players carve their way through Mongolian invaders, learn the ancient art of the blade, befriend unlikely allies, and look at Sakai's butt in this semi-historical piece of entertainment.
Daisuke Tsuji has been playing through Ghost of Tsushima live on his Twitch channel, DiceK2G. On his first day of playing through the game, he encountered one of the many hot springs that Sakai can use to take a load off and relax. Upon seeing his own buttocks in-game, Tsuji exclaimed "YES!" quickly followed by, "Wait... why am I saying yes to my own butt?" It's suffice to say that it seems that Tsuji was pleased with how the 3D modelers rendered his rear-end. A viewer with the username ABSP2006 clipped the segment of the stream (uploaded to YouTube by Naughty Gaming) and published it with the apt title "THICC."
Perhaps the most humorous part of this encounter was Tsuji's chat. As he approached the bathhouse viewers started to spam "hit record" or "clip it" knowing what Tsuji was about to experience. Viewers also spammed Tsuji with the rather humorous pun, "Welcome to Ghost of Tushy-ma." 154 people witnessed this glorious moment live, and since then the clip has been viewed 23,178 times. However, those numbers do not compare to the millions of people playing through the game who will see Tsuji/Sakai in the buff.
Tsuji seeing his own butt in Ghost of Tsushima live on stream is a very wholesome moment for gamers. With games more frequently using their voice actors' appearances in-game, it's a unique experience when you get to see the person that character is based on playing that game. Other actors like Norman Reedus and Ellen Page have played similar roles, but there is something special and genuine about watching Tsuji react to his own tushy.
