In Ghost Hunters Corp, players must use special equipment, including an Entity Analyzer, to gather evidence that will help them identify not only the ghost, but also the kind of exorcism steps required to get rid of it. There are several different categories of equipment in Ghost Hunters Corp. The first are the items required to gather evidence and determine the exorcism that teams of paranormal investigators must perform. These include the EMF Reader, Thermometer, Automatic Writing Book, Spirit Box, and Entity Analyzer. While fans of the survival horror genre may recognize some of these items from Phasmophobia, to which Ghost Hunters Corp is frequently compared, the Entity Analyzer is unique. Players can use it to not only locate the ghost, but also to scan for its type.

The Entity Analyzer in Ghost Hunters Corp is a little buggy at the time of writing and can sometimes turn itself off, making it harder for players to earn the maximum number of points for a mission. There are a few workarounds for teams to try to ensure the Entity Analyzer is in proper working order. Players will need to be careful when using an Entity Analyzer. While the device itself does not cause the ghost to become agitated, the player character is not necessarily safe from a ghost attack while using it. Here's how to use the Entity Analyzer in Ghost Hunters Corp.

Scan the Ghost with the Entity Analyzer in Ghost Hunters Corp

Players find a Ghost and perform an Exorcism in Ghost Hunters Corp

The Entity Analyzer in Ghost Hunters Corp is a large scanner that will emit a constant, low beeping noise and display a percentage on its otherwise darkened screen. The Entity Analyzer will work both while held by a player and placed on the ground near the ghost.

To use the Entity Analyzer, players will need to activate it and walk around the haunted building until the signal begins charging up. The signal will charge when in proximity to a ghost and stop charging as it moves away from the ghost. Players will want to hold it or leave it where it is charging. Once the signal reaches 100%, the scan is complete, and the display will show an alphanumeric code. Ghost hunters can then input this code in the Ghostpedia as evidence and, depending on the type of spirit analyzed, learn one of the steps for exorcising it, like reading from the Exorcism Book or getting the ghost to interact with a Tiger Eye gem. If the Entity Analyzer fails to come up with a code after scanning, it is likely that is not a piece of evidence for the particular ghost.

Ghost Hunters Corp is still in Early Access, so there are a few bugs players should be aware of. One of the more difficult bugs to overcome comes from the Entity Analyzer. Sometimes, the Entity Analyzer will shut down or refuse to activate. This can make it impossible to gather evidence with the Entity Analyzer. Players will know the Entity Analyzer is bugged if they can no longer hear its low beeping. If the ghost's evidence requires a scan with the Entity Analyzer to determine exorcism steps, players will need to find and use all other evidence, then take a guess at the ghost's unique code. Usually, when all other evidence is gathered, there will only be two or three possible exorcisms to perform. Players can usually try all of these until one works and complete the mission. They will need to guess based on the exorcism that worked which code the Entity Analyzer would have picked up, had it worked.

One possible way to get around the Entity Analyzer bug in Ghost Hunters Corp is to pick up and activate the Analyzer first, before touching or activating any other equipment. While this is not a guaranteed solution, the Entity Analyzer is more likely to work when it is the first piece of equipment picked up, activated, and used inside the house. It is likely this bug will be addressed in an official patch at some point during Ghost Hunters Corp's Early Access.
