Players can get the license to add Legendary Pokémon Zeraora to their team in Pokémon UNITE free for a limited time. Pokémon UNITE is a free-to-play Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) like League of Legends or Dota, with multiple playable fighters for players to choose from. They will need to master each Pokémon's unique abilities and traits, which can often be used to fit distinct roles in-game. To unlock new Pokémon for their team, players will need to purchase licenses from the in-game store using Aeos Tickets and Aeos Coins earned by playing matches. Zeraora appears to have been a late addition to the Pokémon UNITE roster, and players do not need to spend Aeos Tickets or Coins to add this Legendary Pokémon to their team.

Unlocking Zeraora in Pokémon UNITE is as simple as logging into the game, but the promotion is currently only available to players on Nintendo Switch. Zeraora is considered a Speedster Pokémon, similar to an assassin role in a traditional MOBA. Players can use Zeraora for increased mobility. Zeraora also uses a powerful plasma area attack that can deal massive damage to opponents in a single blast. Zeraora will make a valuable asset on any Pokémon UNITE team, so players should make sure to take advantage of the promotion while it lasts. Here's how to get a free license for Zeraora in Pokémon UNITE.

Log In To Pokémon UNITE to Claim a Free Zeraora License

To get Zeraora for free in Pokémon UNITE, players will need to log into the game on Nintendo Switch before August 31. They will receive their free Zeraora license right away, just for starting the game. The mobile version of Pokémon UNITE launches in September after the promotion ends, but mobile players will still be able to get Zeraora for free according to a post on the official Pokémon UNITE Twitter. Further details will be announced there, so players waiting for the mobile launch should be sure to keep an eye out for more information.

Once it launches on all platforms, Pokémon UNITE will support crossplay and cross-progression. Players who receive Zeraora now on Nintendo Switch will have access to this Pokémon on their account when playing from mobile.

Pokémon UNITE players who miss the deadline to add Zeraora to their roster will still be able to do so for free following the promotional event. Developers have reportedly planned to make Zeraora available after this promotion ends. Players will have a chance to earn a Zeraora license by completing special missions in the game. Given there are five kinds of currencies to keep track of in Pokémon UNITE, some of which are required to access more fighter licenses, adding a powerful Pokémon like Zeraora for free is a great deal for players just getting started.
