Genshin Impact’s housing system added in the 1.5 update lets players customize their own personal realm. They can fill it with plants, pets, and deck it out with furniture to impress their friends. Most of the furnishings are crafted using furnishing blueprints and a myriad of materials the player can collect while exploring Teyvat.
One of the many resources which players will use to craft furnishings for their home is fabric. However, fabric cannot be bought from shops in Mondstat or Liyue and does not spawn naturally in the game world. This guide will explain the steps necessary to obtain fabric so players can have their homes looking stylish.
Buying and Crafting Fabric in Genshin Impact
There are two methods of getting fabric in Genshin Impact. The first is by speaking with Tubby in the player’s homeworld. After selling the travel depot option, he will sell fabric to the player for 10 realm currency apiece if the player has reached trust level 2, which is increased by crafting furnishings. Realm currency is exclusive to this world, and because it’s used for a variety of other features, it might be best to save it aside for other needs.
Another method of obtaining fabric is by crafting it manually. The only resource that is needed to make it is a silk flower, which is a material native to the Liyue region. Before fabric was added, it was only used as a character ascension material, so it’s good to see players will get more use out of the extras they have in their reserve. There are a few NPCs that will sell this flower, such as Ms. Bai from Qingce village, but players will be able to find some for free growing in the wild. Warp over to the Wangshu Inn to find the flower in red bushes along the path. Alternatively, go to the Yuijin Terrace in Liyue Harbor which is west of Feiyun Slope.
Once the player has picked enough to satisfy their needs, head back to the homeworld and talk to Tubby. Asking him to create furnishing will bring up the creation menu, where all the furniture and decorations are made. To the right of the hammer at the top of the screen is a dye jar, and clicking on it will bring up the menu for creating dyes and fabric. After selecting fabric, players can choose how many they want to make with a sliding bar, with one silk flower creating 10 at a time. Then select the create button, and it will create fabric for players to use in their furniture crafting!
