Gigantamax Melmetal is making an appearance in Pokemon HOME. This guide will help players collect their very own Gigantamax Melmetal. Melmetal itself is a Pokemon that debuted during the seventh generation of Pokemon. The game was officially revealed in Pokemon Let's Go Eevee and Let's Go Pikachu and has yet to appear in a mainline title since then. It can be counted as the first Pokemon to make its debut in Pokemon Go since the connectivity between both titles is the way players can claim their own. Now, Gigantamax Melmetal will be available in Pokemon HOME for free for players to collect. Here's how players can get their own.

In Pokemon Go, the only way to get a Melmetal is by collecting 400 Meltan candies. While this may seem like a lot, if the player continues to connect their Pokemon Go to their Pokemon Let's Go versions, they can use a special box to bring over dozens of Meltan to capture for a limited-time. This is how players are able to collect their own Melmetal. In Pokemon Sword & Shield, the Gigantamax mechanic was developed, allowing certain Pokemon to transform into a giant version of themselves and some with some new forms. Here's how players can claim their own Gigantamax Melmetal in Pokemon HOME.

Later this year, Pokemon Go will finally be able to connect directly with Pokemon HOME. This means players can now transfer over Pokemon from Go to their Pokemon HOME without needing Pokemon Let's Go. To get Gigantamax Melmetal, the player will need to transfer over any Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon HOME. Once this is done, the player can claim Gigantamax Melmetal in the Mystery Gift option. This can only be done in the mobile app version of Pokemon HOME. It is currently unknown the exact date when the feature will be available but it has been confirmed that it will be available before the end of the year.

Pokemon Sword & Shield is scheduled to release its next DLC in October. The Crown Tundra will feature a few new Pokemon, over 100 older Pokemon from previous generations, and a new wild area to explore. This marks the first time the Pokemon series has had paid DLC for its games. Now with Pokemon Go working with Pokemon HOME, catching them all has never been easier. Pokemon HOME is the best way to collect every Pokemon in existence.
