The Dub is one of the Exotic Weapons that can only be purchased from one of the new Season 5 NPCs. It is also expensive. However, this classic double-barrel shotgun does not seem to have the same cooldown timer that other shotguns in the game have had since early Chapter 1. For new fans of Fortnite, this cooldown timer was added to prevent players from using Double Pump or Double Tac combinations. The Dub can be purchased from Dummy. Players will find Dummy north of Pleasant Park. He also sometimes spawns near compact cars. Players will need to have saved up 1,225 Gold Bars to make this purchase. Fortunately, Gold Bars don't reset between rounds, so players can save up to make Exotic Weapons purchases. They will need to complete bounties and quests to earn more.
The Dub has the same knockback feature as the Flint-Knock Pistol and carries the same stats as the Legendary Double-Barreled Shotgun. It can do 120 damage, making it one of the more powerful weapons available this season.
Once players have The Dub, they can use it alongside a Tac or Charge without any sort of cooldown or delay. This will likely bring back memories for fans who have been with the game a long time.
Right now, it is not clear whether this feature is truly a feature ability for this weapon or is instead a glitch. With a name like "The Dub," which could be an unlikely play on "Double," it's not certain whether Epic Games intended to reintroduce Double-Pump abilities to the game. It is likely the developers will address this soon, either in a statement or in the next game update. Until players know for sure, they may want to try and add this weapon to their arsenal at least once before it's gone.
