Yoimiya is a 5-star playable character introduced in Genshin Impact's Version 2.0 update. Owner of the Naganohara Fireworks and beloved by the people in Inazuma City, she first appeared during Archon Quest Chapter 2, Act 1. Despite worshiping the Raidan Shogun, Baal, Yoimiya does not support the Vision Hunt Decree, often helping Vision users from the law.

Much of Genshin Impact's appeal is its growing roster of unique playable characters. Each is different from the others - even those of the same element. Yoimiya is a Pyro Vision user who wields a Bow in battle. Many of her attacks involve beautiful explosions and fireworks, which is fitting, as Yoimiya is known as the Queen of the Summer Festival.

There are currently nine playable Pyro characters in Genshin Impact. Among them, Yoimiya is considered a primary damage dealer because she specializes in using her Normal and Charged Attacks in battle. Despite having some similarities to other Pyro characters, Yoimiya's gameplay offers something special.

Genshin Impact: Yoimiya's Unique Pyro Abilities & Talents Explained

Genshin Impact Yoimiya Banner Release Date

Yoimiya has a strong focus on Charged Attacks, similar to Amber. Both characters accumulate flames on their arrowheads, dealing high Pyro damage to enemies when unleashed. However, she also has a second charge level comparable to Ganyu's Pyro Talents. Upon reaching this second charge level, Yoimiya will generate up to three Kindling Arrows that act like homing missiles, dealing Pryo damage upon impact.

Her unique aimed attacks make her a reliable ranged damage dealer, but Yoimiya specializes in mid to close-quarter combat as well. Her Elemental Skill transforms all her Normal Attacks into Pyro for a short time. The Talent is akin to Hu Tao's Elemental Skill, which infuses her weapon with fire. Unlike Hu Tao, Yoimiya's damage isn't scaled to her health, but the infused Pyro attacks are a great way to utilize Elemental Reactions.

Yoimiya's Talents also offer support for allies. Her Elemental Burst deals massive AOE Pyro damage, similar to Yanfei, and marks an enemy with an Aurous Blaze. When an enemy marked with the Aurous Blaze is attacked by other characters, it causes an explosion, dealing additional AOE Pyro damage. Upon triggering Yoimiya's Elemental Burst, she will also buff other party member's ATK stats - similar to Bennet, although less effective.

Yoimiya fulfills a unique role as a primary attacker within a team. The moment she uses her Elemental Burst, Yoimiya takes a backseat role, allowing other party members to take over for a short time. Genshin Impact has many special characters with different quirks, and players will soon have the chance to pull for Yoimiya on the game's Event Banner.
