Xinyan is the newest playable character in Genshin Impact to get her own trailer from developer miHoYo. The studio shared a new video on social media, which showed off some of Xinyan's moves and personality. The rock n' roll sensation is a Pyro user who also wields claymores in battle. Fans are understandably excited to get her in the game, but when exactly should they expect Genshin Impact's Xinyan to release?
Xinyan is one of several confirmed characters for the 1.1 update of Genshin Impact. While new characters like Diona and Tartaglia are already in the game, Xinyan and Zhongli have yet to arrive. This is most likely a clever strategy from miHoYo to keep interest in the game between updates, since releasing all the characters at the same time would end up creating a lack of new content between Genshin Impact's patches.
While a lot of attention is on Zhongli to finally arrive in the game, Xinyan will likely release at the same time. This would be similar to how miHoYo released the 5-star Tartaglia as a banner character at the same time as the 4-star Diona. Zhongli will be Genshin Impact's new banner character, while Xinyan will still be a nice new additional character for players to try to pull through the game's Wish system. This means Xinyan will most likely arrive on December 2nd, since miHoYo updates the game between Tuesday and Wednesday, depending on time zones.
Xinyan's Abilities & Skills In Genshin Impact
In the new character demo for Xinyan, she's shown sporting a guitar and lots of rockstar moves. Although the guitar is used for special Elemental moves, Xinyan mostly sticks to using claymores in battle. She also speaks with a thick American Southern accent, and uses her Pyro skills to burn through enemy ranks. She's a firecracker, both in personality and combat skills - and fans will surely love her.
The main updates for Genshin Impact are scheduled for six-week intervals, with Patch 1.2 set for December 23rd. Since Zhongli and Xinyan are releasing as part of the 1.1 update, it means they'll most likely appear on December 2nd as new playable characters.
New characters are always coming to Genshin Impact, but right now excitement is incredibly high for Zhongli and Xinyan. So far, miHoYo hasn't given an official release date for either character. However, both of them should be coming to the game in early December, so fans shouldn't have to wait too much longer for them to arrive.
