The Wish system is a vital part of Genshin Impact, the free-to-play RPG from miHoYo. At its core, Genshin Impact is still a gacha game, so players making Wishes is how miHoYo makes most of its money. Now, thanks to a fan-made Wish Simulator, people can try to predict what characters and weapons they'll pull when making actual Wishes in-game.

Although Genshin Impact gives some of its characters and weapons away for free, the majority have to be acquired through the Wish system. The best characters and weapons are always pulled from here. Banners, like the recent one for Tartaglia and Rosaria, give featured characters a higher pull rate. Even then, the likelihood of getting a 5-star character like Tartaglia is relatively low (usually less than 1%), and 4-star characters like Rosaria are only slightly better at a typical rate of around 5%.

To make a Wish in Genshin Impact, players need either Fates (which are pretty rare) or Primogems, the in-game premium currency. Thankfully, miHoYo gives Primogems away for free quite often through events and promotions. Still, this means that players need to be a bit cautious with the way they make Wishes, which is why the Wish Simulator is so nice. It offers users a chance to simulate their pulls without having to worry about losing precious Primogems or Fates.

How The Genshin Impact Wish Simulator Works

Although it's not 100% accurate, the Wish Simulator for Genshin Impact can give users a good idea of what to expect when making actual Wishes in the game. It also provides a Details tab, which explains pull rates and probabilities. Through the Settings tab, users can choose which Wish they'd like to simulate, and the Inventory tab keeps track of the weapons and characters users have pulled so far. Through the Inventory tab, players can also check to see how much real money they would have spent if they were making these pulls in Genshin Impact and paying for Primogems out of their own pockets. If users want to reset their Inventories, they can - which also resets the amount of theoretical money they would have spent.

Trying out this unofficial Wish Simulator can be a nice way to see how long it would take to pull 5-star Banner characters like Tartaglia and earn some of the best weapons in the game. For those not wanting to spend real money in Genshin Impact, it's also just a lot of fun to see what users can get. Fans of the free-to-play RPG should definitely check it out before making their next Wish.
