The latest livestream for Genshin Impact revealed that Klee would be getting a Banner rerun in Version 1.6, which is titled "Midsummer Island Adventure." The Pyro user and explosives expert hasn't appeared on her own Banner in some time, originally showing up right before the launch of Version 1.1 last year. However, Klee is just the latest character to have a Banner rerun, so why does developer miHoYo keep repeating content in its latest updates?

Based on the livestream, Klee has a major role in Genshin Impact for the 1.6 content. She's one of the characters going on an adventure with the Traveler, her mother Alice seems to be a part of unlocking the new cosmetic skins, and she'll star on her very own Banner once again. Given how important Klee will be in the new content, it makes sense for miHoYo to reintroduce her Banner. However, Klee isn't the first character to get a Banner rerun recently.

The most recent updates for Genshin Impact have added Banner reruns for characters like Childe (Tartaglia), Zhongli, and Venti. Featuring them on Banners mean these characters have a slightly boosted pull rate through Genshin Impact's Wish system, offering players a greater chance of acquiring them. This is especially helpful for players who missed out on these characters the first time around - and this could be at the heart of why miHoYo keeps adding Banner reruns to the latest updates.

Why Genshin Impact's Character Banner Reruns Are Great

Genshin Impact 1.4 Banner Characters Rosaria and Venti

While 4-star characters are often repeated on Banners, 5-star characters in Genshin Impact aren't quite so frequent. This is why reruns of Banners for characters like Venti and Childe are especially important. They allow new players - as well as those who had poor luck when the Banners initially ran - a second chance to get these powerful and rare characters. Even with a boosted rate, the likelihood of getting a 5-star character is extremely slim, which makes these Banners even more important.

Thanks to Genshin Impact's pity system, 5-star characters are eventually guaranteed. This occurs around the 100th pull if players have failed to get a 5-star character in the previous 99 attempts. Because of this, some players may choose to save up their Primogems until a character they really want is on a Banner. So, while the lack of a new character on Klee's Version 1.6 Banner may be slightly disappointing, it allows other players a chance to get characters like Klee in Genshin Impact who may have missed out on acquiring her the first time around.
