Just in time for the update's release, developer MiHoYo deployed patch notes for Genshin Impact Version 1.5, which outlines everything players can expect to experience upon reentering the action-RPG. In addition to launching Version 1.5 across all platforms today, MiHoYo also unleashed Genshin Impact's native PlayStation 5 version.

The PlayStation 5 iteration of the hit free-to-play adventure specifically boasts much faster loading times, native 4K resolution support, and enhanced textures. For future PS5 updates, the development team plans to further optimize the game's graphical capabilities and expand upon its usage of the DualSense controller's baked-in feature set. Moreover, players who hop into the magical world on Sony's latest hardware will gain access to an overhauled version of fan-favorite locale Qingyun Peak. Fans on other platforms need not feel left out, however. Version 1.5, also known as "Beneath the Light of Jadeite," comes jam-packed with extras such as the Diona and Noelle Hangout Events.

Patch notes for Genshin Impact update 1.5 are live on MiHoYo's website, detailing everything "Beneath the Light of Jadeite" brings to the table. Most notably, the new patch adds new characters Eula and Yanfei; the former is a five-star character, while the latter is four-star. An additional weapon, Song of Broken Pines, joins the adventure, too, increasing ATK power for the wielder. Version 1.5 also introduces the domain of Ridge Watch, ancient city ruins that house the "Tenacity of the Millelith" and "Pale Flame" artifact sets. Plus, players can look forward to encountering three new monster types: Elemental creatures known as Cryo Hypostasis, an ancient dragon named Azhdaha, and Abyss Lector: Violet Lightning - an elite monster that exclusively appears in the Spiral Abyss.

Genshin Impact PS5 Has Exclusive Version Of Fan Favorite Location

While Genshin Impact's 1.5 update debuts a host of new experiences, fans are already eager to see what MiHoYo has in store for Version 1.6. Rumors abound about this particular patch, which will supposedly let loose yet another five-star character, Kazuha, as well as a feature for traveling by boat.

A free-to-play role-playing title, Genshin Impact first launched in late September 2020. It quickly became the talk of the town, managing to rake in $400 million on mobile devices alone within its first two months on the market. Evidently, this is one free-to-play adventure that isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
