Every couple of weeks, Genshin Impact updates it's gacha banners with new characters and weapons for players to "wish" for. Since the start of update 1.2, an alternate version of the Epitome Invocation banner has provided players with a new pool of weapons to pick from. This time around, it combines increased drop chances from previous iterations of the banner and an overall larger selection to roll for.

Summit Shaper is a 5-star, one-handed sword. While most DPS characters tend to reside in the claymore or greatsword category, characters like Keqing, Bennet, and Qiqi are highly suitable as characters in the DPS and support categories. Here's how players can add Summit Shaper to their collection.

Summit Shaper is the featured weapon of the Epitome Incovation banner. Like Albedo's, it's a short-term banner that allows players to roll for the weapons they want in a certain period of time. Usually about 2-3 weeks. Featured banners require Intertwined fates in order to roll for items. These can be obtained by purchasing them with Primogems for 160 a pop, or through the shop with Starglitter or Stardust. Players are allotted a maximum of 5 purchases a month for each Star-type currency. A single fate costs 75 Stardust or 5 Star glitter.   • Base Attack - 46
  • Secondary Stat - ATK 10.8%
  • Perk - Golden Majesty: Increases shield strength by 20%. Scoring hits on opponents increases ATK by 4% for 8s. Max 5 stacks. Can only occur once every 0.3s. While protected by a shield, this ATK increase effect is increased by 100%.
  • Ascension Materials: Hunters Sacrificial Knife, Luminous Sands from Guyun, and Damaged Mask. Also, the usual Mora that goes on for each subsequent upgrade. The higher the ascension, the higher the grade of Sacrificial Knives, so be sure to go Fatui hunting often.

Summit Shaper is extremely compatible with Geo characters, and in this case, Albedo since he is the only current Geo character that uses a sword. In fact, it seems that the weapon was practically made just for him. Of course, other characters who are capable of using swords can get pretty good use out of the weapon. Just have a character on deck that can create shields with their abilities and swap to the intended sword user. Shields are great for negating large amounts of elemental damage and some physical, so having this paired with Albedo would allow him to dish out a lot of hurt, but receive almost none himself.
