Zhongli will also be featured in a separate limited-time Banner along with Tighnari. Tighnari in Genshin Impact will be the first-ever Dendro 5-star character within the game and will introduce many new Elemental Reactions. He uses a bow as a weapon, primarily focusing on Charged Shot attacks similar to Ganyu. His role within a team is to be the main DPS or Hypercarry since his Talents require him to be on the field to deal damage to enemies.
Zhongli is a Geo user who wields a polearm in Genshin Impact. His Talents involve generating a powerful shield in order to protect allies from damage. Among his other abilities, Zhongli can petrify enemies in battle along with offering additional support like lowering the opponent's physical and elemental resistance, which will increase overall damage for the team.
Genshin Impact 3.0 Banners: Is Tighnari or Zhongli Better
Tighnari excels in creating Dendro Elemental Reactions in Genshin Impact in order to increase his personal and team damage. Due to the nature of his Talents, Tighnari specializes in single target damage as opposed to AOE damage. This makes him an excellent character to use in boss battles as both his Charged Attacks and Elemental Burst unleashes arrows with homing missile-like effects. On the other hand, some challenge quests that spawn multiple enemies like the Spiral Abyss may hinder his performance because Tighnari lacks an AOE attack. A major weakness Tighnari possess is that interruptions can affect his abilities since Charged Attacks usually take time to use. Fortunately, his Talents will offset some of the wait time such as his Elemental Skill allowing him to fire three Charged Shots with great speed.
Zhongli is one of the best support characters a player can use. He is regarded as the best shielder in the game and can deal good damage with his Elemental Burst. Due to Zhongli's shield, allies will not take any damage or be interrupted mid-combat by enemy attacks. As long as the shield stays active, healers aren't typically required and will offer players more team flexibility. However, Zhongli is not consistent in inflicting high damage. Aside from his Elemental Burst, none of his Talents will offer anything reliable in terms of offense.
Both Tighnari and Zhongli are vastly different when comparing abilities. Players looking for a reliable DPS character should attempt to pull for Tighnari. Players in need of a strong support character in Genshin Impact should consider pulling for Zhongli. Tighnari is also confirmed to be joining the Standard Banner, which means he isn't a limited character, unlike Zhongli who cannot be pulled unless he returns in future updates.
