Only a few updates after her original banner, Raiden Shogun is getting a re-run in Genshin Impact, and knowing her Constellations is an important part of building her. Many players agree now that the Raiden Shogun is one of the best support units in the game when it comes to making a solid party, meaning players who missed out on her first run will soon get another chance to obtain her. For players who manage to pull multiple copies of her, knowing how Raiden Shogun's Constellations work will help players understand what benefits they're getting with each Constellation and how they change her gameplay.

A character's Constellations and Constellation descriptions can be viewed from their character profile on the Constellation tab. However, these descriptions can sometimes be jargony and confusing. Additionally, how a character is built can change depending on how many Constellations they have. Here's a guide for all of the constellations for Raiden Shogun's build in Genshin Impact and what they actually do.

Constellations are obtained by getting multiple copies of the same character. Each character has a total of six Constellations, meaning players need seven copies of the same character to have every Constellation. Once the player receives a character they already have, they need to go onto the Constellation tab and manually unlock the Constellation.

The Best Raiden Shogun's Constellations in Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact's Raiden Shogun summons the power of Electro in Inazuma City while holding the Musou no Hitotachi in her left hand.

Here are all of the Raiden Shogun's Constellations and how they work:

Constellation Level 1 - Ominous Inscription

  • Chakra Desiderata will gather Resolve even faster. When Electro characters use their Elemental Bursts, the Resolve gained increases by 80%. When characters of other Elemental Types use their Elemental Bursts, the Resolve gained increases by 20%. This means that Raiden Shogun's Elemental Burst will increase in DMG dealt faster and further increase the damage dealt by other party members Elemental Bursts during this time period (80% for Electro characters and 20% for non-Electro characters).

Constellation Level 2 - Steelbreaker

  • While using Musou no Hitotachi and in the Musou Isshin state applied by Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu, the Raiden Shogun's attacks ignore 60% of opponents' DEF. This means that she ignores 60% of the opponent's DEF during Raiden's Elemental Burst, allowing her to deal increased damage.

Constellation Level 3 - Shinkage Bygones

Constellation Level 4 - Pledge of Propriety

  • When the Musou Isshin state applied by Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu expires, all nearby party members (excluding the Raiden Shogun) gain 30% bonus ATK for 10s. Likewise, once Raiden's Elemental Burst finished, all other party members have their attack increased by 30% for 10 seconds.

Constellation Level 5 - Shogun's Descent

  • Increases the Level of Transcendence: Baleful Omen by 3. The maximum upgrade level is 15. This increases the max level of her Elemental Skill by 3.

Constellation Level 6 - Wishbearer

  • While in the Musou Isshin state applied by Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu, attacks by the Raiden Shogun that are considered part of her Elemental Burst will decrease all nearby party members' (but not including the Raiden Shogun herself) Elemental Burst CD by 1s when they hit opponents. This effect can trigger once every 1s and can trigger five times during the state's duration. This means that when attacking with the Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact during her Elemental Burst, the Elemental Burst cooldown of all party members will be decreased.

Genshin Impact is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Mobile, and PC.
